0G Labs raised significant funding with promises of an AI-native blockchain and generous community rewards, but faced overwhelming criticism for failing to deliver on those commitments. Early testnet participants who spent months contributing—running nodes, completing tasks, testing features—received minimal or no airdrops, while token allocation heavily favored the team and private investors. The project is widely characterized as deceptive, with broken promises around reward distribution, unclear tokenomics, poor communication, and a dismissive attitude toward community members. While a small number of supporters praise the technical vision and smooth launch execution, the dominant sentiment reflects deep distrust stemming from unfair airdrop distribution, lack of transparency, and perceived scam-like behavior that has left the chain with minimal adoption and activity.

“My Year Running a 0G Labs Node ; How It Really Felt”I’ve been running both RPC and storage nodes for 0G Labs for almost a year now, and honestly, this whole experience has been one of the biggest letdowns I’ve faced in the noderunner space. When I first got in, everything looked so promising strong tokenomics, talk about fair allocations, and even a big $10M reward pool that was supposed to go to testnet participants and node holders.was really happy It really felt like I was part of something that could grow into one of the top projects out there. But what actually happened was the complete opposite. Many of us poured in real money, anywhere from $650 to $2000 just to keep our nodes alive on different platforms, only to end up with rewards that felt like an insult. Most people got somewhere between $20 and $200, and for me personally, I ended up with just 14p, about $48. After all the time, energy, and money I put in, that was painful to see. What made it worse was that a huge part of the tokenomics that was meant for the community just disappeared without a single clear explanation. And instead of communicating with us, the team started banning anyone who even tried to ask questions about rewards or eligibility. The truth is, noderunners are the backbone of every testnet. Without us, these networks don’t even exist. But 0G Labs, just like projects such as TAKER Protocol, Assister Layeredge, Mira Network and others before it, decided the community didn’t matter once they got what they needed. That hurts, because I believed in this project.JEMA | KGeN · 1255· 1y ago · negative8
