0G Labs raised significant funding with promises of an AI-native blockchain and generous community rewards, but faced overwhelming criticism for failing to deliver on those commitments. Early testnet participants who spent months contributing—running nodes, completing tasks, testing features—received minimal or no airdrops, while token allocation heavily favored the team and private investors. The project is widely characterized as deceptive, with broken promises around reward distribution, unclear tokenomics, poor communication, and a dismissive attitude toward community members. While a small number of supporters praise the technical vision and smooth launch execution, the dominant sentiment reflects deep distrust stemming from unfair airdrop distribution, lack of transparency, and perceived scam-like behavior that has left the chain with minimal adoption and activity.

“OGs Use People and Then Discard Them – My Story”A few months ago, I was selected to join their ambassador program. I was excited. I believed in the project. I created over 10 tweets, made visuals, did research, shared insights. I put in real time, real energy. Then finally, OG Labs reached out. But not with good news. They told me, “Hey man, sorry… we’re completely overhauling the ambassador program and moving everything to Kaito. You can try contributing there.” I won’t lie - I felt used. Just two weeks earlier, they told me to “show initiative” and “create great content.” And now? A polite dismissal. Like: “Thanks for your service, but we’ve changed plans.” If they were honest from the start, I wouldn’t have invested my time the way I did. But they weren’t. And it feels like they simply used me when it was convenient - and moved on when it wasn’t. That’s not how you treat people. To make it worse - yes, there’s more - they reached out multiple times asking me to cover specific events. I ignored the first few. Then finally, I replied: "You promised me an ambassador role. Until that’s fulfilled, I won’t be covering anything." They never responded again. Now, don’t get me wrong - I’m not here to hate on OG Labs. I still believe the project has potential. But what they did? It wasn’t ethical. You can’t treat people as disposable tools. Use them, praise them, and then vanish when it’s no longer convenient. That’s not how trust is built. That’s how it’s broken.Yuri RWA · 1241· 1y ago · negative8
