“Axiom Trojan”Based on ZachXBT's investigation, this guy, while holding a senior position at the Axiom exchange, used client data for the purpose of insider trading and other methods of extracting profits. Link to Zach's post: https://x.com/zachxbt/status/2027016170126323925 I will quote the thread text in this review: 1/ Meet [@WheresBroox](https://app.ethos.network/profile/x/WheresBroox) (Broox Bauer), one of the multiple [@AxiomExchange](https://app.ethos.network/profile/x/AxiomExchange) employees allegedly abusing the lack of access controls for internal tools to lookup sensitive user details to insider trade by tracking private wallet activity since early 2025. 2/ Axiom is a crypto trading platform founded by Mist & Cal in 2024. After going through Y-Combinator's Winter 2025 batch, it quickly became one of the most profitable companies in the space, generating $390M+ in revenue to date. I was retained to investigate allegations of misconduct at Axiom after receiving reports. 3/ Broox is a current Axiom senior BD employee based in New York. In the clip Broox states he can track any Axiom user via ref code, wallet, or UID and claims he can "find out anything to do with that person". He also describe researching 10-20 wallets initially and slowly increasing over time "so it does not look that suspicious" In a separate clip from the same recording, Broox sets ground rules for how to request lookups from him and then says he'll send the full list of wallets. The full recording is a private call of the group members strategizing. 4/ In April 2025, Broox shared a screenshot from an internal Axiom dashboard displaying private wallets for the trader 'Jerry'. In August 2025, Broox sent a second image showing the registration and connected wallets for the trader 'Monix'. In August 2025, Broox discussed lookups of Axiom users who traded the meme coin 'AURA'. 5/ The group created a Google Sheet compiling wallets for multiple KOL targets mapping out wallet addresses gathered from data obtained via the internal Axiom dashboard by Broox. Multiple KOLs named on the sheet or in leaked screenshots were contacted and independently confirmed the accuracy of wallet data attributed to them. 6/ One of the targeted KOLs was Marcell, a trader with a poor reputation for using his followers on X and Telegram as exit liquidity. He was targeted due to buying a large portion of the token supply for meme coins (known as bundling) from private wallets before promoting them to followers. Traders like Marcell are prime targets for this type of abuse since address reuse is less common and private wallets are rarely public, which makes privileged info much more valuable. 7/ Broox's main wallet was identified via messages sent in a private chat and all directly related addresses were graphed out. FarpaWkzio7WQVpQeu2eURvNQZ3pCBZupJ95wUjoHcUN Due to the high volume of meme coin trades tied to related addresses, pinpointing high-confidence examples of insider trading from his wallets alone is difficult without access to Axiom's internal logs to review the timing of trades placed. Funds from related addresses primarily flowed to the following CEX deposit addresses: 9HtKkLzTVUGMS9BDMSXbVjooP1rVoeiFPj3tEtmj7Qn4 A8XSEaZXYo8eidAMivoAonf8skBeW1QkfprdBJm6eVz HPr1MSrSB2i9r9Vcsj8Cmx2sUFGudpDum6kY9dp2ePCN Afp4DargofX8K67BRUuhVuoBy1DJn9vTbH3ico9CaNs1 6rv1iSZ7YyR18R7EPvXwHdDkNp3qzrE9YPQtPnLVaYbv 8/ Along with Broox in the call is close his friend Gowno (Seb), a recently hired moderator at Axiom. In the first clip, Broox alleges Ryan (Ryucio), another Axiom BD employee, has used the internal dashboard to look up users on behalf of others, and that he helped get his friend Mystery hired at Axiom as a moderator. In the second clip, Broox discusses how Gowno's responsibilities will grow over time and states he can eventually help conduct lookups. Neither Ryan nor Mystery is present in the recorded call. 9/ During the February 2026 recorded call, Broox outlined a plan to help Gowno profit $200K quickly by abusing his access at Axiom which is consistent with similar illicit activity he had been conducting with others since early 2025. In private chats he also shared screenshots of his exchange balances, suggesting the scheme had already been generating returns. 10/ I was retained to independently investigate alleged misconduct at Axiom and these findings are the result of that investigation. Earlier today I reached out to the Axiom team for comment. Their statement is attached. Regardless of whether Cal or Mist were aware, there was little to no monitoring or access controls in place to mitigate this abuse from happening in the first place. The extent of data granted to employees in an easily accessible dashboard is unusual for BD roles, including a user's entire wallet list with date/time, the wallets they are tracking, transaction history, the nickname of wallets, and linked accounts. Given Broox is based in NYC I think the case presents itself as a good opportunity for SDNY since it may fall within their jurisdiction. Whether or not criminal charges are filed, I hope the Axiom co-founders further investigate the abuse and consider taking legal action against the employees involved.on BROOX · 975· 8mo ago · negative46
“Questionable behavior”Despite being one of the early investors in this project, I consider it my duty to add a negative review to this profile in order to document the current sentiment of the community. Recently, the project has been receiving quite a lot of criticism related to the voting proposal regarding the locking of community tokens and vesting conditions. Despite what appears to be a decentralized vote, the team's interests are clearly being pushed through using psychological tricks and ultimatums. The voting conditions presented state that investor tokens will be locked for 2 years with a two-year vesting period after that. Those who miss the vote or do not vote "appropriately" will lock their allocation indefinitely. Furthermore, the announcement of the start of voting contains explicit calls to vote "Yes," which contradicts fair voting by motivating people on behalf of the project to vote for the option that benefits them. I am attaching a link to the [thread](https://ghostarchive.org/archive/stisj) as an example. Despite the fact that I should be interested in the successful development of the project, I cannot help but notice the extremely corporate (=disgusting) behavior during this time. Even Justin Slippery Soap Sun expressed his dissatisfaction on this matter, contrary to his strategic interests of bootlicking. Link to the [post](https://ghostarchive.org/archive/H3jGp). //// Below will be presented the text of Justin's post and nothing else, in order to supplement the AI summary from Ethos: "" This Is World Tyranny, Not World Liberty Financial — Here's Why This proposal has been packaged as a "governance alignment signal" and a "long-term commitment," but strip away the packaging and what you have is one of the most absurd governance scams I have ever seen. Let me break it down. I. Vote Against and Get Punished — Classic Coercion Tactic This is not a legitimate voting exercise, not even close. The design of this proposal is a logical trap: anyone who votes against it has their tokens locked indefinitely with no unlock path whatsoever. In other words, if you oppose this proposal, you get punished. This is not voting. This is coercion. What kind of democratic process rewards agreement and imprisons dissent? II. Voters Have Been Selectively Frozen Out I personally hold approximately 4% of the voting power, yet my tokens have been frozen and I am forced out of this voting process. I am not alone. A large number of holders with significant voting rights are in the same position. Meanwhile, the team controls the power to freeze tokens — they decide who can vote and who cannot. What does this mean? It means the outcome was determined before the vote even began. This is not a governance vote. This is a performance where the police have already barricaded the doors of parliament and only let their own people inside to raise their hands. The voter pool has been purged. Only yes votes remain. The result of such a vote carries no binding force whatsoever. III. All Actual Power Has Been Seized by Anonymous Actors The actual control over the WLFI smart contracts lies in the hands of a 3/5 anonymous multisig and a single anonymous guardian EOA has the power to blacklist addresses holding WLFI. Let me emphasize — anonymous. This anonymous multisig can override any vote result and execute any operation directly at the contract level. The so-called governance proposals, on-chain votes, and community discussions are nothing but theater. Real power has never been yielded to anyone but themselves and it’s laughable that they try these tricks to fool the community. The bottom line is this, the power sits with anonymous wallet addresses whose owners nobody knows or can verify. This is not decentralized governance. This is dictatorship wearing the mask of a DAO. IV. Voters Must Identify Themselves, but the Rulers Are Anonymous — Worse Than Tyranny Here is the most ironic part: WLFI requires every participating voter to complete identity verification, electronically sign acknowledgements, and meet compliance eligibility requirements. You want to exercise your rights? Show your face first. But who are the guardian and multisig signers who hold the power of life and death over the contract? Nobody was told and there is absolutely no transparency. While the governed must identify themselves, the governors with absolute power are anonymous. Your voters must register, submit to scrutiny, and be vetted and dictated how to vote— while your dictators won't even show their faces. V. A Naked Violation of Property Rights Worth Billions of Dollars Let us not forget the real stakes of this proposal: this is not some trivial parameter adjustment or protocol upgrade. This vote seeks to decide the unlock schedule for billions of dollars in assets, the reallocation of governance and vesting rights, and most extreme of all, the permanent destruction of billions of tokens. This is a naked expropriation of holders' property rights. In an environment where voting against the proposal is punished, where large numbers of holders have been frozen out of voting, and where actual control rests with anonymous wallets, using this sham vote to decide the fate of billions of dollars in assets? This is not governance. This is a sham and flies in the face of what this protocol was meant to be. No society governed by the rule of law would permit this. In traditional financial markets, any asset disposition of this scale would require rigorous regulatory review, independent board approval, and minority shareholder protections. Here, a few anonymous wallets get to decide everything. The permanent burning of tokens means holders' property is irreversibly destroyed, no compensation, no recourse, no due process. This has gone far beyond the realm of so-called "decentralized governance." This is a systematic violation of property rights. Conclusion I repeat that this proposal is not governance. It is an exercise of power by the selected few who are carefully engineering a further power consolidation and property expropriation operation. Dissenters are punished for voting no. Opponents are frozen out. Actual control lies with anonymous wallets. Those who exercise their rights must prove their identity while the fate of billions of dollars in assets is decided by a sham vote. This is not what decentralized finance was meant to be, results produced under these sorts of conditions carry no legitimacy, should not have binding force, and should not be recognized. I call on all WLFI holders to see this proposal for what it truly is, to voice their opposition across all public channels, and to reserve all legal rights of recourse.
