on Magic · 1276· 1y ago13“Ran a quick scam”I've always been of the opinion that bad actors are making the space inhabitable for the good ones and rushi just contributed to the notion by running a quick scam on both investors and community. Rushi wrote a fascinating article on how he intended to run a mechanism where both contributors and investors would win only for him to launch a token without a product, while extracting eight figures for himself. This single act is one of the reasons why builders are discouraged from building on new chains, as most of the projects in the Movement chain are now ghost protocols, leaving developers to pack up for good. This isn't good for the development of the crypto space.

However, the execution of the project by the team proved that a product can be good, but with poor execution, it can quickly become yet another ghost chain after TGE. Their M-O was basically to extract as much as they could from the community, riding on the airdrop hype that followed Arbitrum's successful execution (as the #1 L2). Projects built on the chain are now forced to either migrate or die due to the lack of on-chain users — a situation that is totally unfair to genuine builders.
