A respected crypto researcher and analyst known for deep quantitative dives into perpetual dexes, Hyperliquid, and points farming strategies. Recognized for well-researched content on X, early identification of opportunities like Treadfi, and willingness to share knowledge openly—including losses and failed approaches. Described as hardworking, helpful in DMs, and a thoughtful contributor to crypto discourse, though one review flagged unsolicited DM contact.

“The builder we don't deserve”Below is a tweet I wrote a few weeks ago on the impact that Jeff has had on crypto this cycle: https://x.com/0xasrequired/status/1974867587390472309 I don’t say what I’m about to say lightly and I can’t predict the future, so I could be wrong and things might sour down the line. By God, there is not a single sheikh, sayed, priest, pastor, rabbi or monk on Earth — no matter how much money they have — who would spend millions of their personal wealth on building one of the most successful companies in history and not take a single cent of revenue for themselves in the name of building a financial system that serves the people. $751M in fees to date — the highest revenue/employee of any company in the world — and the team have given it all back to the users. The users of Tether, Onlyfans, Nvidia, Cursor, Apple and Meta have not seen a cent of the revenue they brought to those companies and none of them are self funded. It would not be sinful to take some, or even most/all, of the fees for themselves. They risked their own capital and time making a genuinely novel, ingenious and useful product that drastically improved people’s lives — they are entitled to reap the rewards, or at least cover their costs. But instead, they offer up their right to it in charity. Yes, the core contributors have <23.8% of the HYPE supply (part of it is for future employees), which currently stands at $11B. I conjecture that the absolute maximum share of this that Jeff has is 10%, or $1.1B, with a 1 year cliff and 2 year vest. I presume (and hope) that he will use that for himself, although it would take a long, long time to exit that position without nuking the chart and I don’t expect him to sell in the next few years. It would make much more sense to take a loan against it, Mich-style. The core contributors will, and rightfully so, get their payday eventually — they are not prophets sent by God to work for no recompense at all. But the point is they could’ve extracted so much and no one would’ve blamed them. There’s isn’t unanimous criticism for Alon taking most of Pumpfun’s revenue, despite it being consensus that Pumpfun is a net negative on the space (and probably on Humanity), so I can’t imagine anyone would’ve been up in arms if Jeff took some fees after pioneering the most significant advancement in blockchain technology since the EVM. I don’t know if any of the HL team are religious, or even theistic, but a servant of the people is a servant of God. “In the name of God the most Merciful, the intensely Merciful WOE UNTO THOSE who give short measure: those who, when they are to receive their due from [other] people, demand that it be given in full – but when they have to measure or weigh whatever they owe to others, give less than what is due! Do they not know that they are bound to be raised from the dead [and called to account] on an awesome Day – the Day when all people shall stand before the Sustainer of all the worlds?” — Quran 83:1-6 taqwaliquidon jeff.hl · 1839· 12mo ago19
“Showed his true colours this cycle”I used to respect CZ last cycle, but he has shown himself to be brazen market manipulator, ignorant of DeFi and a sore loser this cycle. After creating and pumping TST on Pancake swap, he admitted that he doesn’t know how AMM LPs work and that he had never traded on a DEX. There are 2 possibilities here, which are both equally as damning: 1) Despite being a crypto “thought leader”, he is genuinely that ignorant of the industry he leads. You can’t even chalk it up to him being a dinosaur from 2017 — AMMs are not new and Pancakeswap launched years before he had to step down as Binance CEO. 2) He feigned ignorance in order to be able to shill shitcoins on his ghost chain with impunity. Since learning the bare basics of AMMs 7 months ago, he has shifted his sights to Hyperliquid in a last ditch attempt to save Binance (which he is legally not allowed to be involved with) by incubating Aster — a new perp CEX, oh sorry, new perp “DEX”. I have already written a review of Aster here: https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/486651/pathetic-attempt-to-larp-as-a-hyperliquid-killer Since then, it has come to light that Aster is being “built” by a ghost team named after the planets in our solar system. https://x.com/kirbyongeo/status/1971258216144417044 And CZ has continued to embarrass himself by speaking on an Aster space more washed than Mario Nawfal’s Crypto Roundtable. https://x.com/shillin_villian/status/1971933133525471726 https://x.com/aaalexhl/status/1972007763317604484 I would say that he should hang up his boots and enjoy retirement with his billions, but he still has an infinite supply of NPC sycophantic acolytes on Twitter to extract from. hyperliquidon CZ 🔶 BNB · 2050· 1y ago · negative18
