“Another scam has arrived”Over time, we’re seeing more and more scam projects that straight up betray their communities. Today is no exception with Portal To Bitcoin (PBT), which openly screwed over its own supporters. I’m not here to rant about the 2.6% allocated for the drop, of which only 33% was unlocked on TGE. That’s the team’s decision, they choose the amounts and unlock schedule. The real problem is how those 2.6% of tokens were distributed. There were only 5,688 eligible wallets. 5,688, CARL, out of hundreds of thousands of users. I don’t have the exact number, but at least 221,942 wallets got 1 badge each (as of August 15). And badges weren’t even their main activity, there were actually more real users. One of their latest discord announcements: “When we took the snapshot of the final data, it turned out that more than 60% of entries were marked as bots or farmers. We excluded them from the final list in order to include as many genuine supporters as possible.” 60% lol. When they wrote this, they didn’t think anyone would get the full list of eligible addresses… all 5,688 of them. According to their own stats, total participants were about 14,220? For anyone who wants to check the 5,688 wallets for themselves, here’s the link: https://ptb.portaltobitcoin.com/proofs.json Search for the word “amount” and you’ll see, there are exactly 5,688 entries. Shame on PBT. The biggest irony? Their checker dropped on the same day as Linea, which managed to pull off a clean and fair drop with 750k eligible addresses. 750k, not 5,688.
