“Younes, here’s the latest on Linea”Insane speed boost – In Q3 2025 they rolled out a “limitless prover,” meaning no cap on transactions and block production is now 10x faster. They’re also using “small fields” to cut costs and speed up proof generation. Instant transaction feels (Pre-confirmation) – As soon as you send a transaction, it gets pre-confirmed in about 250 milliseconds. The UX feels almost instant. ~5,000 TPS capacity – By late 2025 they’re scaling up to 0.5 gGas/s, which is roughly five thousand transactions per second. Smart ETH + LINEA tokenomics – 20% of gas fees go to burning ETH. The other 80% goes to buying and burning LINEA tokens. This keeps it aligned with Ethereum’s EIP-1559 model but adds an extra deflationary twist. Keeping up with Ethereum’s upgrades – They’re implementing the Pectra EVM upgrade (things like push0, account abstraction), plus rolling out a new QBFT consensus layer. Trust minimization coming in Q4 2025 – Phase 1 decentralization: if operators censor or go offline, you’ll still be able to push transactions and withdrawals yourself.
