From 219 activities · Jun 2026Across is a fast, low-cost cross-chain bridge powered by an intent-based architecture and UMA's optimistic oracle. Users consistently praise its speed (transfers under a minute), minimal fees (often under $1), and reliable performance across major EVM networks including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, and Polygon, with recent expansion to Solana. The protocol is widely integrated into bridge aggregators like Jumper and Bungee, and has processed over $22 billion in volume. One review raised concerns about potential governance manipulation and limited token support, though the overwhelming majority describe it as a dependable, straightforward bridging solution that prioritizes simplicity and security over complexity.

Boomer_AK🦍✊🏻 · 1182· 1y ago17“Across Protocol, One of the Best”One of the top bridges on the Optimism network that I consistently use. It’s fast, cheap, and supports a wide range of Ethereum Layer 2 networks like Base and Arbitrum, offering a smooth and cost effective experience for moving funds within the Ethereum Virtual Machine. It has an active Discord community, and the support team responds promptly and effectively. Overall, my experience with Across Protocol has been excellent.

Supra and OpenSea's cross-chain portfolio management across multiple networks provides better onboarding. LayerZero's technology enables seamless interoperability, making these newer solutions more competitive than traditional bridges.

lesotn · 1241· 1y ago13“fast, decentralized cross-chain bridge bringing instant and cheap asset transfers to Web3”AcrossProtocol (@AcrossProtocol) uses a single-sided liquidity pool on Ethereum, a competitive relayer network, and an optimistic oracle to deliver fast, capital-efficient transfers across L2s and EVM chains. The ACX token governs the protocol and incentivizes LPs and relayers, aligning uptime and execution quality. In practice, AcrossProtocol routinely settles transfers in under a minute with minimal fees, while avoiding fragmented liquidity and reducing security tradeoffs typical of legacy bridges.

ZaycheZ · 1233· 1y ago13“Great option for bridge”Been using Across Bridge for a while now and honestly it’s super smooth. Transfers are quick, fees are low, and I haven’t run into any issues. Way better than some other bridges I tried.

KENZO ❤️ · 1201· 1y ago13“User Experience & Governance Concerns”I have used this bridge, but I was disappointed with its functionality — it’s quite limited. Not all tokens and networks are supported, which reduces flexibility compared to some competitors. I also have reason to believe that members of the team may have used hidden wallets to manipulate DAO voting and transfer around $23 million worth of tokens to their company, Risk Labs. Although there is no official proof of fraud from Across Protocol, these concerns are worth paying attention to.

Hulinali · 1221· 1y ago · negative13“Bridging Chains with Quiet Sophistication”There’s a rare elegance in how this protocol tackles one of crypto’s toughest puzzles: making blockchains talk to one another swiftly, safely, and without fuss. It leans on an “intents”‑based system—users say what outcome they want, and a network of relayers handles the rest—letting transactions happen in seconds, not minutes, all while staying secure thanks to UMA’s optimistic oracle. What stands out isn’t flashy marketing—it’s thoughtful design, where low fees, minimal friction, and smart abstraction come together to support users and developers in a sincerely useful way.
