on ZachXBT · 2518· 1y ago23“Their OFT wasn't a game-changer after all”The recent kelpdao-backed ETH hack seems to be solely on the shoulders of LayerZero. In the recent incident report, LayerZero blames kelpdao for the hack, but clearly states that: 1. They admit to their RPC being exploited 2. They admit to the attacker getting a list of rpc their DVN uses. 3. they admit to allowing 1/1 DVN even though they advise against it(if you weren't familiar with crypto brodies & their stupidity you would think this isn't real) 4. They admit to their DVN signing off on a transaction that actually never happened! It's like a bank saying, " Yes, our safe convoy carrying our customers’ valuables was robbed, but we blame the customer for having a weak password on their safe deposit box". So long story short, if you are trying to provide a service & intend to use any interoperability tech, I would advise you think twice before using their OFT & also their DVN isn't actually decentralized, it's centralized asf & relies on the least security ever. Since Bryan never learns & is always cocky, I expect the next hack on LayerZero to be directly on their own token & bridge since that also uses a minimum of 2 signatories.
