Much of the activity during its points program came from airdrop farmers chasing short-term rewards rather than genuine traders. Now, with the second season and token launch, the same cycle appears to be repeating with big promises, inflated engagement, and limited transparency on fundamentals. While the team promotes an eight percent airdrop for early users, there’s little clarity on token distribution beyond that, and insiders reportedly hold a large share of the supply. The market buzz may look impressive, but under the surface, Aster DEX feels more like a marketing engine than a sustainable protocol. Until it shows consistent real volume, independent audits, and fair token practices, it’s wise to stay cautious.

“Not Truly a DEX”I’ve tested and reviewed several products and platforms in Web3, and I have to say: Aster just doesn’t live up to the DEX label. Only the 1001x product is actually on-chain and even there, the available assets are limited. That’s why most of the volume doesn’t even generate any meaningful traffic on the BNB Chain. In the end, it’s easy to see why “Hyperliquid competes with Hyperliquid,” because Aster isn’t a true competitor. When I interacted and researched more about Aster, I honestly felt let down. For me, it’s clear they aren’t delivering real innovation, just pumping hype and volume without proper decentralization. The communication from the team seems evasive and there’s a real lack of transparency. I kept hoping to see something new or actually useful, but the project feels more like a copy than a leader. Personally, I wouldn’t trust Aster as a foundation for serious on-chain trading. If you’re looking for a solid DEX experience, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

“Aster should do better”i believe aster need to bring its own genuine tech not copying off everything hyper does, it has so much potential but it's as if even the devs cant see it.

“Get a full refund of your S2 trading fees”I think it's the best decision that Aster could make to satisfy everyone who farmed the airdrop. Many people are concerned that the amount of the airdrop will be less than the trading fees, and this option gives you the chance to choose by yourself.

“UI and hedge mode is cool.”When i use DEX i want to all features CEX got specially hedge mode and API. Currently Aster offers both of them it is really useful for me.
