From 90 activities · Mar 2026Co-founder and CEO of Aptos Labs, Avery Ching is recognized as a technically rigorous builder with deep expertise in distributed systems and blockchain infrastructure from his decade at Meta working on Diem and large-scale data systems. Known for explaining complex technical concepts like BlockSTM, MoveVM, and parallel execution with clarity, he brings a builder's focus to shipping real-world infrastructure—stablecoins, trading engines, and developer tools—rather than hype. While some criticize Aptos tokenomics and token distribution fairness, his engineering excellence, accessibility, and steady commitment to long-term ecosystem growth command consistent respect across the community.

Received · 152Given · 0“good project good airdrop”Avery is this cool, brainy type—co-founder and CEO at Aptos Labs, building a “global trading engine,” with previous gigs at Meta/Facebook/Novi/Libra/Diem and even a Supercomputing PhD. He’s always in “future-builder” mode but keeps it real—like sharing how privacy, compliance, and real-time health data go hand in hand in cool projects like @shelbyserves . He’s also hyped about how Aptos is climbing back up the ranks—“Real World. @Aptos back at #3 again” he said, with charts going to the trillions—figuring the “global trading engine is here to MOVE” . And he’s not just about code—he’s promoting little team rituals like “a matcha walk is a great team break. Highly recommend.” Very down-to-earth for a super-tech guy

What I like is that he still talks like an engineer, not only as a CEO. His posts stay focused on speed, security, trading infrastructure, stablecoins and products people can actually use. He also takes time to discuss technical details in the replies. Most of the account is naturally very bullish on Aptos, so I read it as a founder's perspective, but the experience and years of building behind it are clear. Positive review from me.

I might not agree with every decision especially around token distribution and how staking works for insidersbut there’s no denying the tech is impressive. BlockSTM and MoveVM are game-changers for parallel execution, and you can feel how much thought went into making Aptos fast and reliable for real-world use cases like stablecoin trading. He creates clear, informative posts aimed at developers and serious contributors. It has always focused on systems impact and real-world benefit. Even if you’re not an Aptos maxi, it’s hard not to respect the clarity and consistency he brings to the table.

I still hope Avery Ching will ignite a new spark of vitality for Aptos, now that this blockchain’s direction has been consolidated around a single focus.

Yamborkor🍊,💊🫎 · 1231· 7mo ago0“Leader”I’ve followed Avery Ching for a while now, and what strikes me most is how grounded he is despite leading one of the fastest growing projects in Web3. His posts aren’t about hype or empty promises, they feel like honest updates from someone who knows what he’s building and why it matters. That kind of clarity is rare, and it’s why so many in the Aptos community trust his voice. People who’ve worked with or followed him often describe him as sharp, but also approachable. He’s quick to celebrate others, share useful insights, or even just drop a thought that makes you stop and reflect. That mix of technical depth and human touch makes his leadership feel authentic. It’s not just about scaling systems; it’s about scaling trust. What really makes him stand out is his consistency. Whether it’s big-picture vision or small wins along the way, Avery shows up in a way that keeps people motivated and aligned. In a space full of noise, his presence feels steady, like someone guiding not just a project, but a movement.
