The tech itself is solid ZK rollups are the future but honestly, the way the team handled things left a bad taste. The airdrop distribution felt unfair and messy, and since then FDV has tanked more than 80%. That’s brutal for the community and confidence overall. On top of that, I’ve seen the team make poor calls when it comes to community relations. Some of the comments from people close to the project came off dismissive and even toxic at times, which doesn’t exactly help build trust.

Being the first modular blockchain platform is no small claim, and they’ve backed it up with real innovation around data availability. Their DA tech especially things like Data Availability Sampling and Namespaced Merkle Trees — is a legit breakthrough. It makes scaling and decentralization more practical without forcing every node to carry the entire chain. What I also appreciate is how Celestia has stayed true to a developer-first approach. Instead of just chasing hype, they’ve built something that’s flexible and composable, which is exactly what the next wave of crypto infrastructure needs. You can see their influence across the Ethereum and Cosmos ecosystems already, and the community around them feels both technical and forward-looking.

The rep system isn’t just numbers on a screen it actually balances credibility, trust, and community vouched support. It feels fair and transparent, which is rare in crypto where scams and fake hype are everywhere. What I like most is how Ethos makes it easy to see who’s really trusted and who’s just farming clout. I’ve seen projects and people get exposed that would’ve otherwise slipped through. At the same time, it highlights the real builders and contributors, which helps everyone know who to follow and who to work with. On a personal note, Ethos has also been a great networking tool. I’ve connected with solid people and like-minded builders that I probably wouldn’t have met without it. It’s more than just “reputation scores” it’s a system that actually strengthens the whole Web3 community.
