From 109 activities · Apr 2026Dungeons of Fortune is a Web3 dungeon-crawler game that raised millions in April 2025 but abandoned the project shortly after launch, with the team going silent and no updates since late April. The token and NFT prices collapsed dramatically within 24 hours, and the project is widely characterized as a rug pull that left investors and players with significant losses. While a small minority praise the game's concept and mechanics, the overwhelming consensus describes broken promises, aggressive pay-to-win monetization, lack of transparency, and complete absence of communication or roadmap delivery.
What people say
Received · 247Given · 0“Risk and Return Balance in Games: Efficient Player Experience with Mathematical Modeling”The game includes a mathematically modelled economic system, ensuring that player gains (or losses) are proportional to the risks they assume, and aims to avoid situations where players spend significant amounts of time only to earn inadequate returns, such as 'spending 5 hours just to earn $8'.

Whisper · 1238· 1y ago8“Game + Defi”The game’s a blast for its deep strategy, NFT ownership, and earning potential. But if blockchain’s new to you, the setup might feel like a chore, plus you need real money to start, and token/NFT prices can be a rollercoaster. Overall, it’s a killer game for RPG fans curious about web3, but brush up on crypto first.

It gained traction with over 20,000 dungeon runs at launch and a 50% token surge post-presale, but some X users report a sharp decline, with the market cap dropping from $5.5M to $330K and NFTs from $50 to $5 within 24 hours.

wardean · 1267· 10mo ago · negative10“in acctive dev”The main issue is that the development team has been largely absent and hasn’t been actively pushing fresh content or meaningful updates. Over time, this has made the game feel stagnant, with players having fewer reasons to log in and stay engaged. Once the existing content is completed, there isn’t much else for users to explore, experience, or look forward to. This lack of progression has gradually caused the player base to lose interest, and many users have simply moved on to other games. Without consistent development and new experiences, it’s difficult to maintain long-term player retention or keep the community active.
