From 109 activities · Apr 2026Dungeons of Fortune is a Web3 dungeon-crawler game that raised millions in April 2025 but abandoned the project shortly after launch, with the team going silent and no updates since late April. The token and NFT prices collapsed dramatically within 24 hours, and the project is widely characterized as a rug pull that left investors and players with significant losses. While a small minority praise the game's concept and mechanics, the overwhelming consensus describes broken promises, aggressive pay-to-win monetization, lack of transparency, and complete absence of communication or roadmap delivery.

From the start, I could see how much passion the team has poured into the project. The design, the gameplay ideas, and even the way the community is built all reflect a genuine love for what they’re creating. What stood out most to me was how engaging and welcoming it felt — it’s not just a game, but an experience you want to share with others. That mix of vision, excitement, and community spirit makes me believe Dungeons of Fortune has something truly special to offer. I’m excited to see how this journey unfolds.

Each NFT hero you send into the dungeon either earns rewards or gets burned completely. That built-in deflationary mechanic is actually pretty clever. The game’s still early, but backend performance is smooth. UI is minimal but functional. Token claim is coming up, and they’ve already restarted servers for launch prep. On-chain data is public, but you’ll need to track things manually for now — would be great to have a dashboard later. Overall, the “risk to earn” concept is implemented better here than in most Web3 games I’ve seen. Worth watching.

“Evocative Imagery”The use of the word fireball immediately grounds the reader in the context of rpgs, fantasy, or action games. It triggers nostalgia think mario, d&d, or final fantasy and suggests that there is an actual game to play, not just a staking dashboard.

“A man of integrity”What I mean by being a man if integrity is having a reputable name overtime. Dungeon of fortune has all the quality to call him that.
