“A world leading group for the girl child development”World of Women (WoW) is a leading women-led NFT project that launched in July 2021 on the Ethereum blockchain. Created by artist Yam Karkai, the project features a collection of 10,000 unique, hand-drawn, generative profile pictures (PFPs) that celebrate diversity, inclusivity, and female empowerment in the Web3 space. Each NFT grants the holder full intellectual property (IP) rights, including access to high-resolution 4K images and the ability to use them for personal or commercial purposes. This level of ownership has allowed collectors to launch derivative projects, products, and brands based on their WoW NFTs. WoW has established a strong community structure through exclusive trait-based clubs, including the Royalties Club, which distributes 50% of secondary sales royalties to its members; the Investor Club, which shares profits from the WoW Fund; and the Curators Club, which helps guide monthly art acquisitions. These clubs are tied to specific rare NFT traits, adding value and governance roles for select holders. The project launched a second major collection, World of Women Galaxy, in 2022. It featured 22,222 new NFTs and generated $79 million in 24 hours, highlighting WoW's strong brand presence and community support. Both collections have enjoyed high market visibility, with the genesis collection peaking at a floor price of around 18 ETH and currently sitting near 4.8 ETH. The Galaxy collection has traded thousands of ETH in volume and has a lower entry point for new collectors. WoW is also highly philanthropic. A portion of its initial sales was allocated to causes supporting girls' education, women’s rights, and emerging female artists in Web3. Through the WoW Fund, 15% of primary sale revenue has been reinvested in 1-of-1 artworks by female NFT creators, strengthening its mission of uplifting women in digital art. In addition to its community and philanthropic initiatives, WoW has formed powerful real-world partnerships. Collaborations include a film and TV development deal with Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, a $25 million inclusion initiative with The Sandbox metaverse, and appearances in mainstream platforms like Monopoly. The project also signed with Guy Oseary, who manages major celebrities like Madonna and U2, to expand WoW’s cultural reach. WoW launched its own DAO (DAWoW), giving holders the power to vote on project decisions, funding directions, and future proposals. Its seasonal ArtFest initiative continues to spotlight emerging artists, further embedding WoW in the cultural fabric of Web3. Despite its success, WoW is still influenced by general NFT market volatility. Floor prices have declined from their all-time highs, and the project's long-term growth depends on the successful execution of its entertainment and metaverse plans. Additionally, like many high-profile NFT projects, WoW’s visibility partially relies on ongoing media attention and influencer engagement.on world of women · 1412· 1y ago11
