“Removed original review due to lack of context. However, my view is still negative and would recommend staying away.”My original review claimed YapTrade to be a rug. And I take ownership for not doing proper due diligence prior to the review. HOWEVER...a project can still have a shady track record without being a rug. Here are the 2 events that I feel were both shady and questionable: 1. Presale for $YT token raised at 3.5m FDV. The token launched at $500k with 0 ETH of liquidity provided. The chart pumps and dumps right at launch and presale tokens were airdropped after the pump and dump giving users no time to even try to come close to breakeven on their initial investment. Even though the founder claimed to have added $100k in liquidity after it launched, he should have known that adding liquidity a few minutes after the token launched was going to be a few minutes too late and nuke the chart as a result. And what happened? Chart nuked, tokens were dropped after (or during) the nuke, and presale users got wrecked. 2. The whole concept feels shady. There are several private groups that do the same thing Yap Trade does but for free and generates far better results for members of those groups. As a member of the one that's secured deals for almost all leaderboard winners since skate, I can attest to that. These private groups thrive because they are just real users who've been in the industry for a while, want to help all other members out, and bring in deals from their list of contacts at the various projects up for vote... YapTrade, on the other hand, just feels like it was started as a result of some people seeing a quick cash grab opportunity riding on the coat tails of Kaito's success, capitalizing on less seasoned users' FOMO, and taking advantage of the industry wide mania/hype surrounding Kaito at the time.on YapTrade (🗣️,🤝) · 1372· 1y ago · negative51
