The Mango Markets situation wasn't some clumsy hack, it was a calculated play that exposed real flaws in how these protocols work. But here's the thing, understanding the rules doesn't make it okay to exploit them for $110 million at everyone else's expense. And honestly, that's not even the worst part. He pleaded guilty to possessing over 1,200 images of child sexual abuse material, toddlers, specifically. That's not a footnote, that's who he actually is. He served about four years for that, which feels disturbingly light given the damage done to those kids. So while some might try to separate the "trader" from the "felon," I can't do that. The same mind that figured out how to drain Mango Markets is the same mind that sat on that CSAM collection. There's no version of this person I'd trust with money, data, or any kind of responsibility. Technically smart? Sure. But completely rotten where it actually counts. Hard pass.
