From 124 activities · Apr 2026MapleStory Universe brings a legendary 20+ year gaming IP into Web3 with true NFT-based asset ownership and a $NXPC token economy, preserving the nostalgic charm and grind of the original while adding player-driven creativity through UGC and on-chain progression. The team is actively engaged with the community through consistent updates, collaborations, and events, prioritizing gameplay and player experience over token speculation. Though some note clunky onboarding and volatile token metrics, the project stands out for treating Web3 as a meaningful extension of the game rather than forcing crypto mechanics, with 1.75M accounts and steady growth showing genuine player retention beyond initial hype.

🌊PaTrOn . · 806· 1y ago8“A Nostalgic Yet Revolutionary Web3 Adventure”I dove into @MaplestoryU in mid-2024 after hearing buzz about their NFT-powered MMORPG, and it’s been a thrilling ride. As someone new to Web3 gaming, I was initially intimidated, but MapleStory Universe, built by Nexon’s blockchain arm Nexpace, made jumping in feel effortless. Their flagship game, MapleStory N, blends the nostalgic 2D side-scrolling charm of the original MapleStory—loved by over 250 million players—with cutting-edge blockchain features. The gasless NFT minting and intuitive marketplace let me own and trade in-game items like never before, turning loot into real value. During the 2nd Pioneer Test, I was hooked by the vibrant Maple World, with its rich lore, diverse job classes, and epic boss fights that kept me grinding for NESOLET and rare gear. The community is electric, with players like me sharing tips on X and Medium, and the team’s responsiveness to feedback makes it feel like we’re shaping the game together. With over 31.5 million on-chain transactions and an 82% retention rate in testing, MapleStory Universe isn’t just a game—it’s a bold new chapter for MMORPGs that’s as welcoming as it is innovative.
