But it provided my first real understanding and my first paid-for experience. Unfortunately for BitMEX, more progressive platforms with a larger number of coins emerged, and it took a back seat. However, BitMEX was the first platform with a rebate for providing liquidity, meaning you were paid a commission for creating an order, which attracted developers for automated strategies and the creation of rebate-based systems. Those were glorious times.
