Blast in particular disappointed users with ghosting after the TGE, undelivered promises to builders, abandoned ecosystem projects, and prolonged communication silence before eventual shutdown. Created conflicts of interest by running both Blur and Blast simultaneously with separate investor bases while tokens remained publicly traded.

“Blurred focus.”Pacman, the founder of Blur and Blast, has undeniably made a significant impact on the NFT space. His vision and impact on Blur are undeniable, but the dual focus on both platforms may have hindered the full potential of each. The mechanics of Blast had promise, but it fell short in execution, and his failure to properly align both ventures has left some of his early supporters feeling disconnected and disappointed. 5/10

“He is a do-er, but his crypto-economic systems aren't always win-win-win”I think Pacmac is a legitimate crypto developer, just the incentives of crypto economic systems don't always result in great outcomes for all participants and he has no issues optimising for some high impact variables, while externalising the costs of those to other participants. Too vague for you? Reach out and I can expand further, but its a pattern of behaviour. I would still invest in his seed round, but I didn't bridge to Blast. Blur was a gamechanger that shook up the Opensea incumbency - but his Blend loans model incentivised bidding NFTs and then selling below floor prices in exchange for another token, which harmed NFT projects.

“Big Hype, Fast Rise, Fast Fall, Founder”Pacman is famous in CT and many people respect him. The reasons are clear. he's really a go building fast and hyped! His work on Blur was fantastic and made Blur fight Opensea, and he built Blast ecosystem very fast in just few months. Everywhere he go, there is hype and big expectation. But now Blast looks dead, and Pacman is silent for long time on Twitter. For me, this is not a founder who wants to stay and build for long future. That is why my review is negative.

“Smart and great at navigating attention”He's released quality products in the space at times when things seemed boring so you gotta applaud. He has a bad habit of going awol and into hermit builder mode but i respect his giga brain

“Building in web3 is NOT easy”I personally have a lot of respect for Pacman. Building in this space is not easy and with everyone wanting to dunk on anyone sticking their neck out it's all too easy to deprioritise the strength and resilience needed to build meaningfully in this space.

“Not a fan”Let me preface by saying that Pacman is an extremely smart individual, he definitely deserves the credit on that. However, he was a -EV to the space through his creation of Blur. Pacman created a monster that destroyed the NFT markets by making it much more trader friendly. Because of his product, he was able to extract a ton of capital. But NFTs were left in shambles because of this new tech. Blast was also another product created by Pacman, an L2 that was bound to die off overtime due to the fact that it was all hype and no sustainability. Let's be real: the tech evolving was inevitable. But Pacman was the one who did it, and that is why I'm not a fan of him.

“Great builder, not great at comms or follow throughs”Blur was revolutionary, gave a generous airdrop and also provided deep liquidity to an illiquid market and reduced fees overall (NFTs). Blast led to great yields intially, but lacked in overall comms & transparency, and there were massive executive failures (delaying airdrop, the entirety of Season 2, insane amounts of nepotism towards dApps). Overall you cannot deny his skill and ability, but I cannot blindly trust in him anymore.
