From 14 activities · Apr 2026Sei is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain engineered for speed and real-time trading, delivering sub-400ms finality and up to 200,000 TPS with features like on-chain order matching and anti-front-running designs. The network is technically solid and praised for its parallel execution and ultra-low latency, particularly appealing to DEX builders and traders seeking fast, smooth transactions. However, the ecosystem has lost momentum since its initial launch—early community members report feeling misled by the project's management and multi-tiered reward system, while current adoption lags despite technical capabilities, leaving questions about whether Sei can reignite developer interest and ecosystem growth.

What makes Sei different from many other chains is that it delivers both speed and adoption: in just the first half of 2025 its TVL jumped from around $61M to more than $1.1B, daily transactions tripled past 1.6M, and wallets connected to the network grew by over 70%. Sei has already become a top Web3 gaming chain while also gaining serious institutional recognition in June it was chosen as the blockchain platform for Wyoming’s stablecoin pilot, and Circle revealed SEI as the largest asset on its balance sheet. The tech side is equally strong: sub-second block times, parallel execution, full EVM compatibility, and the upcoming “Giga” upgrade make it attractive for developers who can deploy dApps with Ethereum tooling but get Solana-level throughput. On top of that, the ecosystem is filling fast with DeFi protocols, DEXs, NFT projects and GameFi platforms, supported by a token model that rewards community and staking participation. For me, Sei looks like a project with both momentum and fundamentals, which is why I continue to keep it on my radar.

Although there was some controversy surrounding the network in its early days, SAIT has managed to reinvent itself and continue developing steadily. Over time, the team has built a solid and reliable product. While SAIT is not one of the networks I use on a daily basis, I still find value in certain protocols — for example, Beefi , where I continue to stake my SAIT to generate returns. Overall, SAIT has proven to be a project capable of growth, adaptation, and delivering real utility to its users.

Smart Drop - Adri · 1551· 1y ago14“Low-key one of the fastest chains I’ve touched”Didn’t expect much going in, but Sei surprised me. The speed is legit - txs feel instant, like CEX-level fast. And that whole parallel execution thing? It’s not just whitepaper fluff, you actually feel it when trading. The UI across apps is clean, wallets connect without drama, and gas fees are basically a non-issue. It feels like someone finally built an L1 specifically for people who care about performance -not just vibes and TVL charts. Early days still, yeah - but if they keep this momentum, Sei could carve out a serious lane.

frissonmnia.base.eth · 1424· 1y ago14“High-speed trading rails — Sei Network brings ultra-fast, parallel execution for DeFi and Web3.”I founded the Sei Thailand account on X and have supported the project since the early days. Having firsthand insight into its growth, I’ve seen it evolve from niche to mainstream. Sei is a Cosmos‑based Layer 1 chain optimized for trading and DeFi, built with parallel transaction processing, twin-turbo consensus, and a native order-matching engine — delivering finality in under 400 ms. Its modular architecture (Tendermint + Cosmos SDK + IBC) enables sovereign chains to interconnect, while offering low-latency UX and interoperability across the Cosmos ecosystem. The ecosystem has seen rapid growth: TVL approaching $600M–$1B, millions of transactions, and rising adoption among trading and gaming dApps. Projects like Dragonswap and Yei Finance showcase real use cases, while developer engagement continues across Asia and beyond. Sei is backed by ecosystem funding exceeding $120M and remains a standout option for infrastructure-first builders pushing trading-native blockchain innovation.

ibO · 1369· 1y ago12“L1 with not bad drop”Sei is a high-performance L1 based on Cosmos, focused on trading and DeFi. Technically, it has everything you need: block finalisation of around 300–400 ms, its own engine for matching orders, evm support and high throughput. This infrastructure is really convenient for DEX and any applications where speed is important. But despite its strong technological base, the ecosystem feels underutilised. After an unsuccessful airdrop in 2023, the trust of part of the community declined and marketing and communication do not always keep up with kompetitors. Nevertheless the network has potential — especially if it manages to attract more users strengthen its infrastructure, and effectively use its speed as a competitive advantage.

ChiterSan · 1266· 1y ago · neutral11“High Velocity L1 with Charisma and Room to Grown”Scrolling through SeiNetwork’s account, it’s clear they mean business “The Fastest L1 Blockchain High‑Performance Rails for Digital Asset Markets” isn’t just fluff, it’s their identity. The X bio hits the highlights speed, performance, and a nod to transparency, all managed by the Sei Foundation. That sets a confident, community centered tone right off the hop. They consistently drop useful updates, like when they announced global wallet onboarding via Email, Google, X or Telegram with the Global Wallet, or the account abstraction feature that brings Web2‑style login for smart contracts. That’s big, man. OOTB usability is a tough nut in Web3, and Sei is leaning into it hard. Their community gets it, ease of access = growth. SeiNetwork’s X account vibes well, modern Web3 energy with real feature‑driven updates, solid community hints, and good transparency. Just needs more user spotlight and some digestible TL;DRs to really level up. With a touch more personality in bio and more community sourced content, they’ll glow harder in the fast paced blockchain space.

Content is authoritative yet not frequent, serving best as a go-to for milestones more than day-to-day narrative.

Nyangklot Tandon · 1162· 1y ago7“Fast L1 That Actually Works”Started using Sei after seeing their orderbook-specific design. Built for DeFi with Cosmos SDK - transactions are genuinely fast compared to other chains. Their 3.4B transactions and 115M wallets speak volumes

Lentos · 1187· 1y ago7“Sei: Built to Trade”Sei establishes itself as a formidable force in the Layer 1 space by laser-focusing on a single, crucial mission: to be the ultimate infrastructure for trading. By integrating a native order-matching engine directly into its core and pioneering a Twin-Turbo consensus mechanism with parallelized transaction processing, Sei delivers an unparalleled speed and efficiency that general-purpose chains struggle to match. This specialized design effectively closes the performance gap between decentralized and centralized exchanges, offering sub-second finality and a remarkably fluid user experience. For developers and traders seeking a high-performance environment built from the ground up to handle the intense demands of on-chain trading, Sei presents a powerful and purpose-built solution that feels like the future of decentralized finance.
