From 384 activities · Apr 2026Somnia is a high-performance Layer 1 EVM-compatible blockchain delivering 1M TPS, sub-second finality, and sub-cent fees, purpose-built for gaming, metaverses, and real-time applications. The project earned strong community trust through a fair airdrop distribution to testnet participants and consistent post-launch engagement, with many users praising the fast, low-cost experience and polished games like Sparkball and Chunk. While some note early technical issues, occasional app instability, and concerns about long-term utility amid competing L1s, the team's transparency, active development, and community-first approach have cultivated lasting loyalty—many participants remained engaged after token launch rather than departing, a rarity in the space.

tasi base.eth · 1364· 1y ago13“A Mass-Ready, Ultra-Fast L1: Somnia Network”Somnia is not just a Layer 1 chain, but an architecture specifically optimized for real-time full on-chain applications. With 1M+ TPS and <100ms processing times, it stands out in tests and offers a deterministic, low-cost and ultra-fast user experience thanks to its Sequential EVM structure and custom database IceDB. It offers a tested and proven infrastructure in many different areas from MMO games to social metaverse, from DeFi applications to digital identity protocols. QuickSwap is growing rapidly not only technically but also in terms of ecosystem with important collaborations such as Otherside, Sparkball and MSquared. Unlike most projects that try to bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3, Somnia makes it possible with real user experience. With its SDKs for developers, somnia.js, omnichain object protocols and high-performance networking, Somnia not only promises, it works. It should be on the radar of anyone who believes in true scalability, sustainable gas prices and broad audience compatibility.

With a homepage that barely loads without hiccups, to confirmation feeling like you’ve been sent back to 2015, Somnia is redefining patience around blockchain UX.

phantom 🫎 · 1265· 1y ago · negative13“Game changer”Somnia is shaping up to be a game-changer in the blockchain space. As a fully onchain world with impressive speed (over 1M TPS) and cost efficiency, it’s tackling some of the biggest limitations in the EVM landscape head-on. The introduction of Multistream Consensus is a bold and forward-thinking move, signaling a serious commitment to scalability and innovation.

From its conceptual focus on dreams and the subconscious, the work presents itself as thoughtful and intentional, signaling that its creators possess both insight and respect for the complexity of the human mind. This careful approach encourages the audience to trust the experience and engage with it seriously. The atmosphere of Somnia further reinforces its credibility. Its subtle visuals, immersive sound design, and slow, reflective pacing suggest confidence in its message rather than reliance on excess or spectacle.
