Founder and CEO of Aave, one of DeFi's most resilient and battle-tested lending protocols with billions in TVL. Known for steady execution, long-term vision, and shipping products that actually last through multiple market cycles—from EthLend through Aave's dominance to experimental work with Lens Protocol. Respected as an OG builder who prioritizes infrastructure and open finance over hype, though recent governance tensions around Aave Labs and the DAO over revenue control and token purchases have drawn scrutiny.

“The DeFi Founder Who (Almost) Became Twitter’s CEO”If you’ve been in the DeFi or crypto space for a while, chances are you’ve come across the name Stani Kulechov the founder of Aave, one of the most influential DeFi protocols out there. As I browsed through his X (Twitter) account, what stood out to me was the mix of professionalism and genuine curiosity in his posts. He doesn’t just hype the space he seems deeply invested in its long-term growth. The only “controversy” I found was a lighthearted joke back in 2022, when he tweeted (as a prank) that he was appointed interim CEO of Twitter which got his account briefly suspended. But honestly, it was more amusing than problematic. Overall, I see Stani as someone who blends technical depth with a big-picture view of where Web3 is headed. If you're serious about understanding DeFi beyond the surface, following him is absolutely worth it.

“Focused on building”I have come to respect Stani over time, especially from watching what he has done with Aave. You can tell he is always working on something important. The way Aave has changed DeFi, and now with Avara and other projects, he is pushing the space forward! He keeps it real and he is focused on building solid tech and growing his community, he is someone you feel you can learn from, even if you don’t catch every update he shares.

“Web3 legend”Stani.eth, a DeFi visionary since 2017, passionately builds Aave and Lens to democratize finance and social networks, believing decentralized social feels like DeFi’s early days. Stani's hyping Aave's new staking module, GHO savings, and DeFi innovation after a D.C. trip to push crypto laws

“Shaping Web3's Future”I remember when the DeFi landscape felt like a chaotic frontier. Stani, with his relentless focus on innovation and user experience, was a steadying force. Seeing how he champions both cutting-edge tech and accessibility with Aave and Lens—and his dedication to the Avara family—it's clear he's not just building platforms, but shaping a more inclusive Web3 future. His technical skill is matched only by his commitment to community.

“Dao Disruptor”My sentiments towards Stani has changed a lot since the debacle around Aave's IP and V3 and v4 started, especially when it came to knowledge that Stani and aave labs manipulated the vote.
