He understands internet culture, branding and community at a very high level. The issue is consistency. There’s a repeated gap between narrative strength and long-term execution. I do trust him to generate momentum, however I won't trust him to deliver stable long-term outcomes. I wouldn’t blindly follow his conviction trades or ecosystem pivots but I also wouldn’t underestimate the influence he has.

Back then it felt almost revolutionary - simple enough to get me into Ethereum and dApps and reliable enough that I never had major issues. For a long time it was my go-to and I trusted it because the company behind it always seemed credible and safe. That said, over the years MetaMask didn’t really evolve as much as I expected. While other wallets rolled out more features, smoother UX, and broader chain support, MetaMask stayed mostly the same. Only recently did they start adding more chains, which honestly felt long overdue given how far ahead the competition had already gone. I wouldn’t call it a bad wallet at all. In fact, it always worked fine for me and it’s still one of the most widely supported and integrated wallets in Web3. But for my own usage, I eventually switched to another wallet that simply offered more functionality. So in short: MetaMask is a pioneer and still reliable, but in my opinion, it has fallen a bit behind. If they had kept innovating at the same pace they once set, they could have stayed way ahead of the game.
