From 119 activities · Apr 2026Uniswap is the foundational DEX that pioneered decentralized trading since 2018, introducing the AMM model that reshaped DeFi and inspired countless forks. Users consistently praise its intuitive interface, deep liquidity across multiple chains, fast execution, and zero security exploits over eight years—making it the gold standard and default choice for token swaps. The platform continues to innovate through V3 concentrated liquidity, V4 hooks, and Unichain expansion, though one critic argues the UNI token receives extractive treatment with zero accrual value despite the protocol's technical leadership.

Their airdrop was also groundbreaking, and is still one of the best crypto ever saw. Years later their product is still leading the pack, and they are still innovating. The type of project and team the space needs more of.

As the team behind the world’s leading decentralized exchange (DEX) protocol, Uniswap Labs has redefined how we swap, trade, and engage with digital assets, making DeFi more accessible, secure, and user-friendly than ever before. What sets Uniswap Labs apart is their commitment to decentralization and innovation. The Uniswap Protocol, launched in 2018 by founder Hayden Adams, introduced the Automated Market Maker (AMM) model, revolutionizing crypto trading by eliminating intermediaries and empowering users to swap tokens directly from their wallets. With over $2 trillion in trading volume and support across multiple blockchains like Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and their own Unichain, Uniswap is a powerhouse in DeFi, handling billions in weekly volume with ease.
