The testnet is extremely laggy, full of bugs, and doesn’t provide a smooth experience at all. Features that are supposed to work, like the faucet, are often broken or unreliable. On top of that, the whole system feels like a low-budget L2 solution rather than a serious project. The team talks big, but the execution is weak and inconsistent. Communication is poor, updates are unclear, and it’s hard to trust anything they promise.

He managed to turn a fun meme idea into a real blockchain, proving that creativity and serious tech can go hand in hand. What stands out most is that he stays close to the community, shares his thoughts openly, and isn’t afraid to admit mistakes. For me, Smokey is not just building a project — he’s shaping culture in the Web3 space.

The setup, retries, and edge‑case bugs were worth it because the learning was hands‑on and practical the kind of knowledge that shows up later when things get tricky on mainnet. It wasn’t just “follow the steps”; it was understanding why each step mattered. On mainnet, the network feels exactly how a good chain should: cheap and fast enough that building and iterating doesn’t get in the way. Now it’s a waiting game for the token launch not as hype, but as the next checkpoint to see the work translate into something tangible. As firsts go, this one did what it should: taught a lot and made the next one feel easier.

He’s a true testnet master — organized, patient, and sharp — and more than once he’s guided me through tricky setups, shared clear step‑by‑step notes, and made sure the learning actually sticks. What I value most is his consistency and generosity. He doesn’t just drop links and disappear; he follows up, explains the why behind each step, and encourages better habits around documentation and risk. Beyond one‑on‑one help, he contributes to the community in a meaningful way, teaching, sharing opportunities, and raising the overall standard. I have great respect for his work and the positive influence he brings every day.

The combination of high-quality artwork, strong utility, and an engaged community sets it apart from the rest. The team behind the project is active, transparent, and keeps delivering real value instead of empty promises. What makes Mad Labs stand out is how they use Solana’s fast and low-cost network to create a smooth experience for collectors and traders. The community feels genuine and welcoming, and the project has built a strong reputation for consistency and innovation. Mad Labs is not just another NFT collection — it’s a project with vision and staying power. I believe it will continue to grow as one of the flagship names in the Solana ecosystem.

on Mad Lads · 1632· 1y ago9“"Clear Mechanics, Modest Outcomes"”I’ve provided liquidity to Elixir for over a year, and while the workflow has been stable and the integrations are improving, the net outcome has been modest my total came to 831 ELX, which is far below what the early narrative led me to expect. The core idea of decentralized market making for orderbook liquidity is compelling, and the product direction around modular liquidity rails and deUSD is interesting, but the reward to time curve didn’t feel particularly competitive compared to alternatives during the same period. Operationally, the platform has been straightforward to use: allocating liquidity, monitoring campaigns like Potions/LP incentives, and tracking token events around the IEO/TGE and listings. That said, the mix of emissions, program pacing, and broader market conditions seems to have compressed realized returns for small and mid‑sized LPs, which matches what I experienced first‑hand. If the roadmap can translate integrations and deUSD utility into clearer, more consistent LP economics, it could justify sticking around - but as of now, the results have been average at best for the time and capital committed.

He doesn’t just post charts - every thread or comment often reveals what’s happening behind the scenes. For example, when Circle announced it would shut down individual accounts, it was Evanss6 who brought it into the spotlight. And when he spoke out about Solana, he didn’t just point to the drop he explained why it looked more like a manufactured hype cycle than true innovation. Later, he openly admitted he’d burned out and sold everything, which was an honest moment many could relate to. His style is direct, well-reasoned, and free of unnecessary hype. He never pretends to be a guru and makes it clear: “this is not investment advice.” But when he does share criticism, it comes backed by knowledge, research, and strong principles.
