From 47 activities · Apr 2026a16z crypto is a tier-1 venture capital firm that backed Coinbase, Solana, and Uniswap early when most dismissed crypto as a scam. They manage a multi-billion dollar crypto fund and shape industry direction through strategic investments in infrastructure, DeFi, and Web3 projects, providing not just capital but technical expertise, research, regulatory guidance, and ecosystem connections. Their involvement signals credibility and tends to attract co-investors and amplify a project's momentum, though some note that their capital and attention can inflate narratives and that past investments haven't all endured.
