“Governance Theater”WLFI increasingly looks less like decentralized finance and more like a politically protected insider machine. From controversial USD1 activity, questionable exchange behavior and aggressive promotion of failed ecosystem projects, to governance votes designed to punish dissent and favor team-controlled outcomes, the credibility gap keeps growing. Anonymous multisigs controlling billions while users face identity checks destroys the “decentralized” narrative entirely. Add the Trump branding, leverage risks, and community manipulation concerns and the project feels deeply corporate, coercive and fundamentally untrustworthy.

“Size Isn't Trust”Binance still dominates by size, but size alone doesn't build trust. Between questionable listings, inconsistent campaign rewards, weak user support, bot-heavy programs and recurring manipulation concerns, it increasingly feels like hype comes first while transparency and user experience take a back seat. That's disappointing.
