“Ethos Goat!”Ben Walther is co-founder of Ethos together with Trevor Thompson (Ben is CTO, Trevor CEO). What I like about Ben is that his knowledge is super deep and he always find solution so fast. Honestly, I’m impressed how quick he can adapt and how fast he take feedback, all this while he still making jokes. Yep, besides being smart he also got great humor. He’s the type of builder that give you energy just by watching him work. His passion and drive is just contagious, you can feel it. On X he always dropping ideas, replying to people, sometimes joking, sometimes serious. It feels real, not corporate. Ben also got crazy background before Ethos. Since 2006 he work on fraud detection, bots, security stuff… like fighting wash trading at FINRA, bots on PokerStars, even teaching at Cornell and Berkeley. He even wrote a book on web security and was one of first hires at Stackrox, which later was sold to Red Hat. Not many people in crypto can say same. With Trevor they start Ethos to fight scams and bring trust to Web3. It’s a system where users can vouch, review or slash reputations on-chain, and it already got attention. Ethos since January growing fast, almost 1k users already, and integrating with platforms like X and OpenSea. It’s obvious Ben and Trevor are fully committed to make this real. For me, Ben is not just some tech guy. He is builder of community too. Always ready to help, answer questions, or just crack a joke when it’s needed. I think he deserve big respect. He’s building not only product but future where Web3 feel more safe and more human. And I’m here for it.

Recent posts highlight the user’s concern about automated LLM spam targeting platforms like Ethos, emphasizing the importance of economic security for credibility. Engaging with followers on topics like AI-driven content polishing versus spam, @benwalther256 also fields requests for invites, showing community involvement. The account’s content is insightful for crypto natives, particularly those interested in decentralized tech and privacy-focused projects like the xx network, but its technical leanings might be dense for casual users. A compelling follow for those seeking a principled take on crypto’s evolving landscape.

nhatho · 1171· 1y ago9“Anti-Scam Architect”I recently looked into the Ethos Network and spotlit its co-founder and CTO, Ben Walther. Right off the bat, his X bio reads "Ethos CTO & Security Nerd," which signals a no-nonsense approach to crypto security rather than marketing flair. What really earns respect is his background. He’s been tackling fraud and cyber threats , having helped detect financial fraud at FINRA and co-founded StackRox before Red Hat acquired it. Working alongside Trevor Thompson, they kicked off Ethos to solve the "Wild West" problem of crypto scams by building a reputation system directly on the blockchain. Their platform leans into on-chain credibility via vouches, slashes, and review mechanics think peer-to-peer reputation scores. All that to say, Walther fuels Ethos with deep security chops and real Web2-to-Web3 crossovers. The result is a project that strives to keep crypto honest, one credibility score at a time.

SeRG| ⌘🛠️ · 1398· 1y ago22“Who is Ben?”What’s even more impressive about Ben is how consistent he is. Whether it’s a conversation, a project update, or community engagement, Ben shows up with clarity and purpose. That kind of presence builds trust and in a space that moves as fast as crypto, trust is everything. He gives off that calm, steady energy that makes you feel things are moving in the right direction. If more people approached this space the way he does, the entire community would be a lot stronger. In addition, The way he communicates, supports others, and shares insight shows someone who actually understands what this ecosystem needs to grow.

Dex_chain · 1162· 1y ago9“Underrated Builder”Ben doesn’t get nearly enough credit for the work he’s putting into Ethos. He’s constantly grinding on code, pushing updates like EIP-1 and the upcoming EIP-2, while still finding time to help people troubleshoot or even support community side projects. On top of the skills, he’s just fun to be around, sharp, witty, and always good for a laugh. Between him and Serpin, it’s safe to say Ethos has its own dynamic duo.
