on Ma Ning | Lingfeng Capital · 510· 1y ago · negative9“"There's No Second Best"”I've been following Michael Saylor since he saved MicroStrategy from being just another failing tech company and turned it into one of the most successful companies on the market by going all-in on Bitcoin. The guy literally took his company from near bankruptcy to holding over 500k BTC. What makes Saylor different is his relentless conviction (study conviction) he's not just talking about Bitcoin, he's putting his money where his mouth is with debt and convertible notes to keep buying regardless of price. The company recently rebranded to Strategy and calls itself "the world's first and largest Bitcoin Treasury Company", which shows total commitment to this vision. Biggest Bitcoin bull I've ever seen.

Just absolutely embarrassing and unprofessional.

His calls always come with receipts - solid TA, clean charts, and deep dives into whatever meta is existing rn. For anyone degen enough to ape into the ultra-risky lowcap meme casino, his insights are clutch for not getting absolutely rekt and even win some (!) & actually catching those rare moonshots that go parabolic instead of straight to zero.

on Travolta · 1316· 1y ago9“Bitcoin's USDT Layer”Plasma's been getting attention as the Bitcoin sidechain play backed by Tether and Peter Thiel (and for their stake-to-get-an-allocation raise). Basically it's a Bitcoin sidechain with deep USDT integration - tapping into Tether's liquidity while anchoring to Bitcoin for security. The idea is to enable actual BTCFi without the usual wrapped BTC nonsense. What's interesting: native USDT without bridges, privacy features baked in, pay gas in USDT/BTC, institutional compliance ready, BitVM2 coming BUT - this is still trusting Tether's reserves (I do, but still a point) and sidechain validators (i.e this new sidechain security) while calling it "Bitcoin-native." It's essentially wrapping centralized stablecoin infrastructure in Bitcoin branding. Not necessarily bad, but let's be honest about what it is.

Still in private beta (but constantly evolving adding new features) but should open up soon (really soon). The main flex here is scalability - they can prove 150k+ orders got matched correctly with one tiny proof posted to ETH L1, which is pretty dope. Lower latency (IBRL salute) than other dexs since it's L2 rollup but still backed by Ethereum security.

on Lighter · 1808· 1y ago9“loud quaking instead of yapping (or maybe both)”WallChain's onto something big with this whole Proof of Social thing. WallChain is going to reward creators who actually give a damn (or at least pretending to do so) and post real content about the products they're covering (i.e proof of shill I guess). Something what is Loudio is doing right now: give creators fees for quacking about a certain project all the time. More quacks - more fees or smth like that. At least, the rewards end up going to folks who'll actually stick around and not just bots-freeriders.

He's well-respected everywhere he goes, currently deep in the Abstract ecosystem sharing plays and farming XP (learning from!). Definitely worth a follow if you're looking for authentic community engagement (and a really smart follower)

It's an interesting collaboration with 'web2 enthusiasts.' The team seems experienced, but the market is quite saturated right now. Just another serial meme launcher, aka dot fun. I'm kinda curious if it will stay afloat after a couple of weeks.
