It utilizes ring signatures for anonymity, instead of the modern ZK's we see in EVM based networks today. Used by a lot of bad actors, but that's the thing about tools. They're useful for the good and bad alike.

Dave's made his money betting on sports and reviewing pizza, where he shows his ability to enjoy only one specific type. Dave enters crypto each cycle to participate the biggest grifts. Every few years he declares he has "no idea" how crypto works or why he should care (this tends to follow a sharp price decline where he capitulates his positions). Only to re-enter during phases of mania or general optimism. His behavior is parasitic, but his lovable "everyman" personality camouflages him from being found out by the meat-heads that tend to dominate the sub genres of the space he participates in (primarily influencer coins).
