The ecosystem is packed with dApps and big names keep building on it, which says a lot. Still, concerns around centralization and its heavy reliance on Ethereum are hard to ignore. For many, it’s the go-to Layer 2, but whether it can truly stand on its own long term is the real question

It holds institutional partnerships and a clear use case with cross-border payments, but at the same time, its positioning in crypto has always sparked debates. Neutral by design, Ripple is less about decentralization and more about bridging finance and blockchain.

His work defines clear technical standards: robust infrastructure, disciplined execution, and security as a non-negotiable. Ethos under his hand avoids the pitfalls of hype-driven projects, choosing instead to ship tools that developers can actually build on. The legacy here isn’t a marketing narrative — it’s a technical baseline that forces the ecosystem to raise its bar.
