on Mika · 1488· 1y ago · neutral26“vc type funding group/incubator”these guys are synonymous with crypto VC. seems like they have thier fingers in every successful project, as well as a bunch of crappy ones. lots of flash in the pan type stuff that gets real hype and dies, but some very good things and overall i think they are good for crypto. they apparently mentor and connect founders with funding and expertise imran and qc are pretty honest on the TL with thier thoughts, and i remember one project, it was a fantasy football thing, (american) bunch of packs got sold kind of pre-emptively, and after a few days of hype they refunded to the buyers and said the project was too rushed. pretty cool imo the main gripe i have about them is they (and many vcs) cast a very wide net, and not everything they catch is a winner. one of thier best investments imo was blast, you all may think it sucks and its dead but it lasted longer and was way more fun than most stuff around here.
