“poor resolution model”decentralized prediction "oracle" aka appointed 3rd party arbiter of truth for some prediction markets, most notably polymarket. they decide the out come to contested prediction markets, and the voting is performed by token holders, and weighted by holdings. therefore, large holders have been able to manipulate truth in actual results to benefit trades they have made. basically pay to play insider trading i dont think uma was complicit at the start, but the lack of action since problem began is damning.

“admitted pump and dumper”he's pumped and dumped plenty celebrity meme coins. hes a partner that onboards and takes adantage of their naivety and launches a coin with or without thier consent. eventually they rug. he doesnt deny it anymore, he leans into it, actually funny sometimes, like getting jealous on the TL when someone else pulls off a good rug lol. i mean hes a piece of shit and is raking solana memecoin investors for years, but hes not hiding from it anymore kind of refreshing, we all know we are investing in dogshit that will go to zero, but we are smarter than the fool we will sell it to as we try to time it out right i guess yeah, this guys is a dude not to be trusted, but he is not hiding from the facts of what hes doing.

on BanHam · 1210· 5mo ago · neutral7“so far so good”tried this out as a free user. the ux is very basic, but sufficient. they dont need bells and whistles. its lottery, online, onchain. they advertise 1.1million dollar prize pool, but it's not clear what this includes. are non cash prizes given an arbitrary value like fantasy top did and then boast about a prize pool? they are rewarding people who are 1400+ on ethos, and i respect any project the recognizes ethos contributors. not because i am one, but because it signals that they at least want real users, and ones that are hopefully not total scumbags. look, i know they will gladly take anyones money but the sentiment does mean something to me. personally not bullish on straight up gambling, at least IRL lottery the funds go to the state and they save wood duck habitats or install bike racks or some shit
