From 272 activities · Apr 2026The original memecoin that started as a 2013 joke but evolved into a cultural phenomenon and top-10 cryptocurrency by market cap. Known for fast, cheap transactions, a fiercely loyal community, and staying power through multiple market cycles—powered by internet culture, grassroots support, and Elon Musk's endorsements. While critics point to its unlimited supply, hype-driven volatility, and lack of serious technical roadmap, supporters credit it with creating the entire memecoin sector and proving that community energy and humor can sustain real value in crypto.

Received · 372Given · 0“The Biggest Memecoin ever”it all started as a literal meme back in 2013, a total joke with zero serious tech or purpose behind it. It’s just a knockoff blockchain with nothing special—Bitcoin does everything better. Worse, Dogecoin’s got no supply cap, so it’s endlessly inflating, tanking any chance of real value. Compare that to Bitcoin’s hard 21 million coin limit. t’s just a speculative circus, but you gotta admit, the Doge army’s passion is kinda hilarious, even if it’s a total financial dumpster fire

ZionNFT 🏛️ · 1240· 1y ago8“Dogecoin - A Meme That Went Too Far”Dogecoin started as a joke, and sadly, it stayed that way. Built with zero long-term utility and propped up by memes and Elon Musk tweets, it’s the poster child for hype over substance. While real projects focus on innovation and use cases, Dogecoin just clings to its meme status with no real development or future vision. It’s more of a speculative circus than a serious crypto-fun for laughs, but painful for wallets.

felixx86 · 1250· 1y ago21“Elon Musk ruined it”It was a fun project with what seemed as a genuine team behind it with no bad intentions, which is extremely rare nowadays. Then came Elon and made it its own, like he always does.

jasko · 1396· 1y ago · negative19“Don’t fade Doge”Aside from being one of the OG memecoins they have a surprisingly resilient community & there’s a good number of builders shipping cool solutions (e.g. DogeOS) to enrich the ecosystem further.

JPEG Yakuza · 2003· 1y ago20“From champ to chump”Doge is still the OG meme coin, however, it went from being all for the people to being controlled and marketed by the ultra rich. Once Elon attached himself to doge it became a lot harder to trust that the coin won’t sway in favor of someone super rich’s intention
