“Coinbase-Backed Access”Echo (by Cobie) opens early crypto deals to regular folks like u & me—KYC needed, not every bet wins (but that's crypto), but it delivers actual access that was gated before. Smooth execution from what I see, transparent on-chain, exciting to ride alongside trusted names. Now recently acquired by Coinbase for $375M in Oct 2025, a reflection of the value Coinbase sees in the proj.

“N°1 Fundraising platform this cycle”Title says it all, I think Cobie did an awesome job at building Echo, to the point he sold it for tons of USD to Coinbase giant. Platform is easy and simple, I already invested there on multiple occasions, MegaETH was a present there. I would recommend to KYC just to be sure not to miss out later on.

“Trust worthy”I like that Echo doesn’t overpromise rewards or push speculation it’s more about access, discipline, and long-term alignment. That makes it feel closer to a Web3-native version of venture capital than a typical launchpad

“an antidote to the culture of extraction”this cycle has often felt defined by short term grifters and systems designed to extract value from retail. in my opinion Echo is a much needed antidote and it breaks the ild model where VCs and insiders got the first and best look, leaving else with the scraps. i think its more than just a product echo has fostered the growth of strong communities built around shared conviction not just speculation

“leveling the playing field”talking about echo, it’s clear they’re really shaking things up in crypto investing. they've made it so much easier for regular folks to get into those early stage deals that used to be just for the big VCs, which is super cool. you can see from their tweets that they're always pushing new features like commitment requests to make things fairer, and even when things get crazy busy with signups, they're straight up and focused on building. it feels like they're really about quality and transparency, not just hype, and a lot of the community really trusts what they're doing, especially with cobie leading the charge.

Small people who hadn't and chance to participate in seed rounds of mega bullish projects now have chance like any other VC to actually participate in any project. We saw so many projects already in Echo that we would never have chance to go in.

“Positive aims, outcome less clear”Echo has a great team (not just Cobie), and is trying to resolve one of the biggest issues in the space. Massively rooting for them to succeed, but opening up private investment rounds has all sorts of challenges (not least around investor expectations). Will probably take a few years to see whether this model is really term viable.

“rare net positive improvement to crypto space”led by crypto OG the escrow GCR himself, Cobie, echo has helped advance the space by increasing efficiency and accessibility within VC early investing. Recently they have introduced new developments for public sale as well with the first Sonar launch from Plasma.
