Farcaster is a decentralized social protocol built on Base and Ethereum that emphasizes portable identity, on-chain ownership, and builder culture. The platform is praised for its clean UX, Frames (interactive posts), integrated wallet, and genuine community focused on real conversations rather than clout-chasing—often described as crypto Twitter done right. However, adoption remains a persistent challenge: monthly active users peaked around 80,000 in mid-2024 but collapsed to under 20,000 by late 2025, with critics noting it has failed to break out of the crypto bubble despite strong technology and funding. While early users and developers remain bullish on its potential and ecosystem of mini-apps, concerns persist about sustainability, moderation inconsistencies, and whether the platform can ever compete with X for mainstream attention.

“Farcaster is a crypto capable program in many ways”I have been working on this app for about two years. In addition to being active in mini apps, I post on this app every day. I think Farcaster has done better than many airdrop projects. And as a user of the project, I am completely satisfied with the way it rewards. Moreover, many other crypto projects can work more seriously on this app. Especially now, when it is free to use.

“Farcaster it's the foundation of the next social layer of Web3”Farcaster has completely replaced other social networks for me. Most of my friends work in crypto, and now almost all of them spend their time here. The conversations feel more meaningful, the community is open and smart, and I can actually connect with people who understand Web3 culture.

“Farcaster Unfolding”Farcaster isn’t just another project on Base it’s shaping into a cultural nucleus for the entire ecosystem. The pace of experimentation, the depth of community energy, and the quiet confidence behind its builders all point toward something bigger in motion. When the next Base airdrop arrives, Farcaster won’t just participate it is going to define narrative. Staying active here isn’t a strategy; it’s foresight.

“Decentralizing Social”Farcaster is carving out a bold space in Web3: a decentralised social protocol built on top of Ethereum scaling infrastructure, aiming to give users real ownership of their identity, feed, and networks rather than merely another walled garden.

“Web3 social”The day Forexter launched, I thought it would be a really good alternative to Twitter in the crypto and web3 space. With its successful launch, it completely overtook its competitor Lenz and became a successful social network. Later, it introduced the degen token, which gave users who produced good content degen, and other users earned money.

“Top Idea but execution?”Lets go straight to the point, no one made a more quality SocialFi project in crypto then Farcaster. Full stop. The problem is that crypto twitter is still unusable. 50% of content is twitter reposts and another 50% are food pictures. We deserve better than that. Still we have nothing better than that yet.

“My Early Farcaster Journey”I joined Farcaster when it was still fresh. I stayed active, made friends, and when the Farcaster Pro NFT launched, I minted immediately. That felt like a early badge.

“Still waiting rise”Farcaster really has much better UX than Twitter. I was hoping whole last year, that it will be able to take the stage from Twiter. But it looks impossible for now. They need somehow push migration of all crypto-twiter dudes to their platform... They need lots of mony to pay to thouse dudes. And at the same time Farkaster by default will have much smaller audience (only crypto guys). While twitter always offers audience from the whole world!

“Ma favorite social network”Probably a year ago I started using Farcaster a couple of time more than Twitter. All Base alpha is there

“Decentralized Social Network”It's a decentralized social network crypto-native. You need a wallet, so it costs, but that helps keep spam out. What really stands out is interact with apps directly inside posts with polls and mints. It’s small, but it’s growing really fast. If you’re tired of centralized social media, Farcaster feels like a wave of freshness. It's not yet perfect, but it's very promising and funny.

“Redefining Social in Web3”@farcaster_xyz offers a refreshing take on decentralized social networking, pairing technical innovation with a user-first mindset. The updates are straightforward and purposeful, showing progress without unnecessary hype. What makes it stand out is how the platform’s vision is communicated—clear, inclusive, and rooted in building something sustainable.
