Farcaster is a decentralized social protocol built on Base and Ethereum that emphasizes portable identity, on-chain ownership, and builder culture. The platform is praised for its clean UX, Frames (interactive posts), integrated wallet, and genuine community focused on real conversations rather than clout-chasing—often described as crypto Twitter done right. However, adoption remains a persistent challenge: monthly active users peaked around 80,000 in mid-2024 but collapsed to under 20,000 by late 2025, with critics noting it has failed to break out of the crypto bubble despite strong technology and funding. While early users and developers remain bullish on its potential and ecosystem of mini-apps, concerns persist about sustainability, moderation inconsistencies, and whether the platform can ever compete with X for mainstream attention.

“Second Twitter?”These guys have made a pretty good product for the Web3 community. You can connect your wallet or use the built-in one to buy different coins. The app's front-end is also cool, but it's still not as popular as Twitter or Telegram. Most people are only there because of the drop. Many AI agents run accounts, and it looks shabby. They need to work harder on their product. Another downside is the large investment round. I don't understand how much money they raised. Ethos is doing much better, even though it has tens of times less investment

“Social Onchain Apps”I know about Farcaster in the early 2025 when the access still need invite. This platform giving a lot opportunity to the early users like USDC rewards, Celo Rewards, and Solana Rewards.

“Found my edge on Farcaster”Farcaster stood in for me when the going got tough. Markets were red and trading felt like suicide. Then came Farcaster, apart from how swift the platform is, made a lotta of us some bucks. Profits from Degen,Moxie,Ham and other projects came a long way. I even remember joining the INSIDER TRADING CHANEL where early alphas were dropped by Experts. I met a lot of amazing people like @thedude on X, @yerbearserker on X and other great personalities Made a couple of $$ and then came BANKRBOT. Definitely looking forward to their TOKEN LAUNCH alongside BASE

“Farcaster Was My First Real Web3 Experience”My first real experience in web3 was Farcaster I was there in 2024 when things were still early and experimental. It didn’t feel like the usual crypto noise. It felt like builders actually building, people testing ideas, shipping fast, and having real conversations. That’s where I really understood what web3 community could look like. For me, Farcaster wasn’t just another platform it was the entry point that made web3 feel real.

“A GREAT SOCIAL APP”I have enjoyed exploring the farcaster app and this app is a solid 8/10 If you want to build and write a longer content and you are looking for where to do that i recommend the farcaster app as it gives you access to do that plus the app is built on BASE which i am super bullish on.

“The app is great.”In contrast to those who have money but release terrible apps, I think this is a truly useful app. Thanks!

“Sosmed web3 yang keren”Farcaster itu kayak angin segar buat dunia medsos. Bukan cuma aplikasi, tapi protokol sosial yang bikin pengguna lebih pegang kendali. Identitas lo nggak dikunci satu platform, jadi pindah app tetap aman. Vibes‑nya Web3 banget, tapi nggak ribet.

“One of the best”Farcaster has done lots of airdrops and this gives an hint that their own airdrop will be better. I have seen people make millions from properly using farcaster. For me, it is one of the most underrated apps

“Farcaster: The Real Home of Web3”Farcaster is one of the few social platforms that actually feels like Web3. No noise, no fake hype—just real people building, sharing, and vibing together. Every time I open the app, it feels like stepping into a room full of devs, investors, and creators who actually know what they’re talking about. What I love about Farcaster is the community energy. It’s clean, smart, and creative. People don’t flex or farm attention—they contribute. The conversations are meaningful, the insights are real, and the whole platform feels way more authentic than Web2 social. With everything being on-chain and open, Farcaster gives you this feeling of a living ecosystem where new apps and ideas pop up every day. It’s fun, innovative, and genuinely useful. If you’re in Web3 and still haven’t tried Farcaster, trust me—you’re missing out on one of the best places to be.

“Farcaster is crypto home.”Although I'm not very early on in Farcaster, my FID: 221381 (@mikhrali) has become my home. I've found so many interesting people there, as well as a community of tech-savvy Cryptans. If you're not here yet, you're missing out. You'll make new friends here.

“A Space That Reminds You What the Internet Was Meant to Be”i joined farcaster thinking it would be another platform but it feels different it reminds me of when the internet was about people not numbers here you actually talk listen and share without feeling like you’re lost in noise there’s this quiet honesty in how the community moves it’s not about flexing it’s about showing up and building something that lasts you can feel it in small things the way someone replies the way ideas grow together what makes it special is that balance between tech and warmth the blockchain part is strong but what stays with you is the people it’s the first place in a long time that feels both free and real
