Farcaster is a decentralized social protocol built on Base and Ethereum that emphasizes portable identity, on-chain ownership, and builder culture. The platform is praised for its clean UX, Frames (interactive posts), integrated wallet, and genuine community focused on real conversations rather than clout-chasing—often described as crypto Twitter done right. However, adoption remains a persistent challenge: monthly active users peaked around 80,000 in mid-2024 but collapsed to under 20,000 by late 2025, with critics noting it has failed to break out of the crypto bubble despite strong technology and funding. While early users and developers remain bullish on its potential and ecosystem of mini-apps, concerns persist about sustainability, moderation inconsistencies, and whether the platform can ever compete with X for mainstream attention.

“contruindo o futuro das redes social na web3”O Farcaster se destaca como uma das redes sociais mais genuínas e inovadoras da Web3. É gratuito, transparente e verdadeiramente descentralizado, o que o torna especialmente atraente para usuários e desenvolvedores do Ethereum, queria ter mais tempo para usar essa rede

“Authentic Social Media Network”Farcaster is one of those spaces that actually feels built for people backed by base chain. It’s easy to connect with others, share ideas, and discover projects without all the noise you get elsewhere. The platform feels effortless solid, reliable, and fun to use.

“Decentralized social protocol with actual usage”farcaster one of few web3 social projects that achieved meaningful adoption beyond just speculative farming. protocol level ownership of identity and content solves real problem with centralized platforms arbitrary account control. frames and composability creating genuine developer ecosystem not just token incentives. two years without native token launch shows either strong conviction or lack urgency depending perspective. base integration logical given ecosystem alignment but questions remain about standalone viability. $27m protocol revenue validates product market fit exists at some level. community quality appears higher than typical crypto projects based on builder concentration. concern whether decentralization actually maintained or just marketing narrative. growth from invite only to broader access positive trajectory but still niche compared mainstream social platforms. watching how they balance growth versus maintaining quality signal ratio

“First time”How many web 3 social networks have there been ? A lot. I've seen a lot of them in five years. but this time I think it's really gonna work. and it's not just the big investment. It's also because Farcaster (Warpcast) has been running for a long time. And more and more new features and it's really becoming something that is a must.

“Better than (X)Twitter.”I've been using this platform for over a year now, and I can confidently say that this service deserves more attention in the crypto community than (X) Twitter. The AI that monitors user integrity and cleans the feed of off-topic posting deserves special attention. I will continue to use this app and wish them prosperity!

“A new social media solution?”What I want to say is that the project is at the highest level. But there is always an understatement. When will you solve the problem with erroneous spam algorithms? My account is still marked as spam. I've done everything, deleted my wall, deleted my likes, deleted my friends - nothing helps. Please take a look at this and take the necessary measures. But on the whole, I like everything.: Social network + wallet in one app, it's a bomb!

“Decentralized Social at Its Best”Farcaster truly delivers on the promise of decentralized social media. The platform is fast, user-friendly, and already shows strong network effects with active communities and real opportunities for creators. In my view, it deserves a perfect 100/100 as the leading SocialFi platform of this generation.

“Farcaster is a social media, but with soul.”Farcaster its feels like social media, but with a soul. It’s not just posts and likes it’s identity, reputation, and trust you actually own. Ethos turns Farcaster activity into XP, vouches, and reviews, making credibility visible and gamified. The result: a social graph where reputation is earned, not rented.

“onchain tweeter”I joined Farcaster last year. I think on that time people used to tip each other different things such as $degen I like their idea but I think they should bring back the hype by launching new airdrops or maybe by doing some nft giveaways. Farcaster is good for u if you only focus on web3 and tech. as I said the hype is dead but I think they can bring it back
