“could have been a nice project but it's over”Farcaster had its moment. It positioned itself as an elite network—people were eager to join, even when it was a paid service. But the team didn’t deliver. The tech lacked appeal, and over time, the momentum faded. They went radio silent—no posts on Twitter for nearly 8 months in 2024. That kind of neglect is hard to forgive in this space. Now in 2025, they're active again on Twitter. But it feels too late. Dune stats show a consistent decline in activity. The project looks cooked.

Grow." delivers real recurring value for creators. While it still has a learning curve for newcomers and needs broader adoption, Farcaster represents the future of social: sovereign, open, and fun.

“Proper degen hangout”Love the vibe here. It’s probably the only place where you can actually talk to devs and degens without 1000 spam replies. The integration with Base is what makes it for me—it feels like the first time social media and on-chain activity actually make sense together. Definitely a vibe for the 'insiders

“I thought they'd bring something new to the market, but they didn't pull it off...”I thought they'd bring something new to the market, but they didn't pull it off... When they first launched their product, you could only join by invitation, and there was an incredible buzz around it I thought they’d offer something new and revolutionary, but time passed and it turned out that nobody needs a Web3 social network which is fair enough, given the team’s rather strange “moves” with NFTs, paid subscriptions, rewards that only led to massive inflation, and so on I stopped following the project when they became just another wallet (it’s unclear why we need yet another wallet when there are reliable “old-timers”)

“Great app”I’ve been using Farcaster to play some games on their platform from my mobile. The best one is Warpslot, where you can win some shitcoins by spinning, like in a casino. You can also meet some really nice people in this space. Overall, the platform looks promising.
