Maryami · 1213· 1y ago21“Builder With Range”Adam has a crazy track record from the early days at CashApp and Square Loans to now co-founding @proofofplay. What I like is he still keeps it human: talking films, pizza, even MP3s, while pushing serious product work. A mix of builder mindset and real personality

Hxzorrr · 1260· 1y ago21“authentic leadership in action”adam is one of the few web3 founders who actually leads with vision and integrity. as co-founder of proof of play and pirate nation, he’s shown transparency and care for the community, even during tough calls like sunsetting pirate nation. on a personal level, he’s down-to-earth, thoughtful, and always open to sharing insights without ever breaking trust. smart, funny, and authentic exactly the kind of builder this space needs more of. grateful to share community with him.

Dylan Angell · 1280· 1y ago21“Pizza Man”I’ve known Fern for a few years now mostly through the Pirate Nation community & as a pizza lover! Great builder, thinker and genuine person! He understands how gamification works and designs products accordingly, a lot to learn from him!

Ajinkya 🏴☠️ · 1317· 1y ago21“Web3 Done Right”With Proof of Play, Adam’s leaning into the idea that games can be genuinely fun first and blockchain-enabled second. Pirate Nation isn’t just a pump-and-dump token project—it’s a playable, evolving game where on-chain assets actually have purpose. That’s rare in Web3 gaming, where most products feel like DeFi with a skin.

Jaki Sundays · 1158· 1y ago21“Adam, Chief Commander of the Pirate Ship”I first learned about Adam and his brainchild back in 2021 when NFTs were all the rage. At the time, Pirate Nation seemed like “a small company that wants to turn the GameFi world upside down,” and in the end, they succeeded. Development proceeded as quickly as possible, and many communities began to seriously discuss their project. I really likd their approach with ProofOfPlay, which was the company developing the game.

BODYA · 1305· 1y ago21“Crypto Gaming Innovation”Adam Fern, a self-proclaimed "Pretendgineer" and Pirate Nation co-founder, passionately drives crypto gaming innovation while disavowing turkey as a "mid" meat. Fern's savoring California tacos, plotting a Bali escape, and hyping crypto airdrops while eyeing a career pivot. The X community praises @fern for his work on @PirateNation, with @OnchainAj lauding their clarity and @hunterorrell sharing their pizza alpha.

Proof of Play/Pirate Nation
