阡尘🚢 · 1185· 1y ago6“Serious but not too much?”If you've ever followed cryptocurrency developers, you've likely encountered Adam Fern. What I like about him is that he comes across as someone driven by genuine curiosity, not just hype. He's been involved with Cash App from the very beginning, worked on Square Loans, and is now working on Proof of Play—and it looks like he shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. What sets him apart is how he combines a clear product focus with relatively down-to-earth interests. One day he's building complex systems, the next he's talking about movies, pizza, or some old MP3 collection. This makes him more real than the typical "cryptocurrency founder" image you see everywhere. Overall, Adam comes across as someone who genuinely enjoys creating new things and doesn't try too hard to act like a founder. And frankly, that's refreshing.

OR IS IT JUST EMOTIONAL WORDS?”Daily life posts: A recent post (December 25, 2025) asks: "Do any Down Bad Miami Crypto Bros want to babysit this weekend so I can go out for a nice dinner with my wife? Able to pay in ETH." (Translation: Are there any crypto guys in Miami who want to babysit this weekend so I can go out for dinner with my wife? I'll pay in ETH.) Clearly a lighthearted, personal appeal related to family and the crypto community in Miami – where he might be living. Personal opinions on crypto: Many replies about NFTs, coins, or projects like the Solstice ICO. For example: "They are NFTs. That's what went wrong" or comments about not needing more coins. These are personal opinions, not official announcements from the project.

Hoangloi · 1231· 10mo ago5“honest vibe”fern stood out to me from the moment I opened their profile. Their posts have a genuine tone that doesn’t try to dazzle with hype but rather speaks straightforward about what’s happening now. I appreciate how ideas are presented clearly and thoughtfully even when the topic is complex and sometimes chaotic. Reading their feed often gives me a fresh perspective or a subtle detail I had missed earlier which I value more than flashy promises. This profile feels real and grounded and following it makes me feel more at ease in the noise of crypto world.

Dawn Francisco π² · 1186· 10mo ago5“He's shifted focus to culinary exploration in NYC following his recent departure from crypto.”A legit builder with real credentials early Cash App founding team (helped scale one of the biggest consumer fintech hits), then co-founder/product lead at Proof of Play, where he shipped Pirate Nation as one of the most ambitious fully on-chain games ever attempted. He pushed serious UX innovations (gasless/signless play, seamless cross-chain stuff) long before they were standard, survived brutal bear markets, built custom chains that dominated metrics for a while, and openly reflected on the grind without sugarcoating failures. His goodbye post was candid: fond memories mixed with exhaustion, acknowledging the economic pitfalls (extraction wars, Vietnamese farmers flooding in), and admitting web3 gaming often devolves into ponzi territory which he refused to chase. That shows principle over pure grift-chasing. He was willing to "play clean" and still try to win, even if it meant slower growth or eventual pivot/sunsetting.He's pragmatic and low-ego about irrelevance after leaving a company you founded echoing that classic founder realization: the machine keeps running without you, and that's okay. No bitterness, just acceptance.

CRYPTODON.ETH/SOL · 1334· 9mo ago2“One of the founders of Proof of Play and Pirate Nation”If you’d asked me a year ago who Adam was, I would’ve said he was a solid guy. My perspective has changed since then especially after the situation around POP points for $PIRATE stakers. We supported the project by staking, even though many of us could’ve taken the easier route and sold for profit, just like some teams in this space tend to do. That experience made it harder for me to hold the same view I once did. It wasn’t about expectations of upside it was about alignment, trust, and how early supporters are treated. And once that’s shaken, it’s not easy to look at things the same way again.

VyzBtc · 1210· 9mo ago2“Authentic, Long-Term Builder”Adam is the kind of founder who approaches Web3 with the right mindset building products that are a net-positive for himself, his friends, and his community. As a long-standing team member at Proof of Play and a driving force behind Pirate Nation, he has spent years building in public and pushing for innovation in blockchain gaming. His approach blends genuine care for people with sharp product instincts, always open to giving and receiving feedback to make things better. Whether it’s pioneering new game mechanics or sprinkling in his trademark “based pizza” humor, Adam remains one of the space’s most thoughtful and authentic builders.
