“algostable (and its entire ecosystem) that actually works”Started as this hybrid fractional-algorithmic stablecoin that nobody really understood but somehow worked, and now they've basically built an entire defi ecosystem around it. sam and the team just keep shipping - they've got frax (the original usd stable), fpi (inflation-hedged stable), frxeth (liquid staking), their own dex (fraxswap), lending protocol (fraxlend), and even their own l2 called fraxtal (that's quite something)! Their rebrand to frxusd in January backed by Blackrock's Buidl fund is genius - they went from this experimental algo stable to having actual tradfi backing while keeping all the defi composability. Sure, the ecosystem can feel overwhelming with all the different tokens and protocols, but you gotta respect how they've evolved from just another stablecoin project into this comprehensive financial infrastructure that covers pretty much everything you need in defi.
