The $FAKE project is a challenge to norms, with its ironic name masking a deeply authentic mission: to deconstruct value creation in Web3 through community engagement, transparency, and digital culture. From the earliest whitepaper drops to community AMAs, the founder has been ethical- often putting up his own money to provide rewards and incentives.

Like many others, I provided liquidity, interacted with dApps, bridged assets, and participated in ecosystem growth. Instead, StarkNet prioritised other groups, leaving many loyal users who contributed to network stress-testing and adoption with nothing. This move sent a clear message: user engagement doesn't matter. What makes it worse is the lack of transparency. There was no clear communication or roadmap about who would be rewarded and why. Compare this to other L2s that have acknowledged user contributions in meaningful ways.

It’s built on Ethereum and Optimism as an open protocol, meaning no big corporation can yank your data or lock you out, and you’ve got control over your profile and who sees what. I also like how it lets me embed tiny apps like NFT mints or DAO votes right inside posts with Frames, which makes conversations feel way more functional and creative. It’s earned recognition from big names in the space too, which gives me extra confidence it’s not just hype and actually built to stick around. All in all, I’m happy to call this a positive review—Farcaster feels like a solid, thoughtful step toward a more open and user-first social future.

The transactions are quick, cheap, and it feels like the community around it actually cares about building long-term rather than just chasing hype. I’ve used it for a few different reasons and it’s always been smooth. The airdrop mechanics back in the day were cool and rewarded real users.
