“My First Encounter”Back then, the idea of a true AAA blockchain game still felt far off. But the very first Illuvium trailer gave me chills: stunning graphics, an open world and the concept of capturing and battling creatures for ETH. For someone who loves both gaming and crypto, it felt like a dream. Even in a volatile market, Illuvium carried itself with a sense of seriousness and ambition. To me it wasn’t just another project: it was the first real sign that Web3 gaming could go global.

“From Hype to Disappointment”I remember this project back in 2021 when the token was priced at $1,500, with massive hype and high expectations for the game. In reality, they delivered a far-from-impressive product, and now the token is trading below $20.

“Still following, just not as excited as before”I was really into Illuvium when it first came out. The idea of a blockchain game with great graphics and real ownership was exciting. I staked ILV early and kept up with all the updates. Now that parts of the game are live, it looks good but feels a bit empty. It’s clear they’ve worked hard, but the gameplay didn’t fully match what I hoped for. I still check in once in a while and I’m curious to see where it goes, but the hype I had back in 2021 isn’t really there anymore.

“The one to make it”Have following Illuvium since the balancer sale,and have been playing the Arena for a few years. Great team and amazing art,they have 18 months of runway so it puts them in a great postion to actually make it.

“Solid Baseline with Unlimited Potential”Illuvium has been developing their AAA Web3 game for a few years now and it's been incredible to see their progress in real time. Although it's taken them a bit longer than anticipated, the baseline that's been established with this game is honestly incredible. Their graphics and design are unmatched, and I've fallen in love with their IP and characters (illuvials). This game is the cross-section of auto-battler (Arena), world exploration (Overworld), collecting (Beyond) and mobile land development (Zero). With the current development of the MMO-lite and potentially porting the game to mobile in the future, the sky is the limit for this OG Web3 game! Looking forward to seeing what the team cooks up!

“Shipping Steady, Story Still Forming”The team is shipping steadily and the art direction is undeniably high-end. My hesitation is less about tech and more about product framing: who is this for beyond crypto-natives, and what’s the sustainable reason to come back week after week? If they solve onboarding and retention, they’ll have something special.
