Irys is a Layer 1 programmable datachain making data permanent, verifiable, and composable across chains and AI systems through its IrysVM. The project has raised $20 million and built a strong technical foundation with fast uploads, low costs, and developer-friendly infrastructure, earning consistent praise for its innovation in data storage and active community. However, it faces serious credibility issues: a major sybil attack saw 897 interconnected wallets claim ~20% of the airdrop supply, testnet and Galxe participants reported receiving no rewards despite months of participation, and critics allege non-transparent token distribution, unfulfilled promises, and a hard fork of Arweave's codebase without clear community communication—leading many to characterize it as a cash grab or potential rug.

“Focusing on noise over respecting real users”irys said they'll reward testnet users earlier but they just repeated monad mistake lots of testnet an galxe users are not eligible Not rewarding those who made a lot of impact for your network won't end nice for you i'm disappointed

“A Gentle Wake-Up Call”On paper, Irys seems to be building something genuinely meaningful, yet their process management feels rather frail. Communication with the community, both on Discord and across socials has been lackluster. The soul of Irys lies within its community; hopefully, the team remembers that.

“Growing with Irys”I’ve been part of @irys_xyz for a while now, and honestly, it’s been one of the most exciting journeys for me. From the very first quests to earning higher community roles, every step felt rewarding, not just about ranks, but about growing together with the project. The ecosystem is unique, the community is active, and I’m proud to be part of it. Can’t wait to see where Irys takes us next!

“molto deluso”Molto deluso da questo progetto. Ho partecipato alla testnet in modo continuato e non ho ricevuto niente. Bel modo di ricompensare la community

“Modern Fraud in the Airdrop Ecosystem”The recent airdrop landscape feels increasingly unfair. Both Galxe and several projects have distributed rewards with zero transparency, leaving many users without any clear explanation of how allocations were determined. The quality of new projects keeps dropping, and the reward systems look more like selective giveaways than real community incentives. Overall, it’s hard to trust a space where participation doesn’t match the payout logic.

“scammers”allocated a massive portion of tokens to themselves zero reaction https://x.com/Zun2025/status/1993653286701084800 I have nothing to add

“The community was deceived”They deceived the community with the airdrop. They said the community comes first, that the community is everything, but in the end, TGE spat in their face. They held back Snalasa with TGE, then rolled out a checker without allocation, and then gave out pennies on the checker. They allocated 2.7% for the airdrop, while Binance Alpha allocated 0.9%.

“Building programmable data and a strong community”Irys is an L1 that builds programmable, stored and verified data. Traditional data is completely passive, but with Irys it becomes active and has logic. They raised $20 million in funding. Irys community is also very strong. I am part of it and can feel its vibes.

“A Visionary Game-Changer in Web3’s Creative Frontier”irys_xyz (Irys) really stands out. Their Ethos credibility score is solid, and it’s clear they’re not just another profile they bring something fresh and imaginative to the scene. I’m impressed by how creative their game ideas are: they don’t just follow trends, they redefine them. I believe irys_xyz has the potential to become a historic epic in the Web3 world someone people will look back on and say “that’s when things changed. Keep going, because I think you’re building something legendary.
