From 253 activities · Apr 2026Jesse Pollak is the founder and primary face of Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 built by Coinbase, credited with transforming it into one of the most active and accessible L2 ecosystems through relentless community engagement, daily promotion, and support for builders and creators. His consistent shipping, low fees, and developer-first vision have earned widespread respect, though his backing of creator coins, meme tokens, and projects like Soulja Boy's coin—some of which crashed dramatically or proved to be scams—has drawn significant criticism for recklessness and poor judgment despite apparent good intentions.

and 9 more“Positive Sum buildor”Jesse is a crucial piece of growing the onchain space big time. Wish he didn't get so much hate but CT is gonna CT 🤷 I was iffy on the new Zora stuff (which he isn't technically building anyways) but I'm slowly coming around to it as a good UX/replacement specifically for open edition NFTs.

erdinç · 1262· 1y ago11“JESSE IS BASED”Probably one of the boldest and most cracked founders out there. Base is fcking crazy. A lot of builders there and none of it would be possible without you. I don’t think anyone would disagree with me. Didn’t like that stuff with zora tho. But i don’t blame you for it.
