Jesse Pollak is the founder and primary face of Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 built by Coinbase, credited with transforming it into one of the most active and accessible L2 ecosystems through relentless community engagement, daily promotion, and support for builders and creators. His consistent shipping, low fees, and developer-first vision have earned widespread respect, though his backing of creator coins, meme tokens, and projects like Soulja Boy's coin—some of which crashed dramatically or proved to be scams—has drawn significant criticism for recklessness and poor judgment despite apparent good intentions.

“"The Builder Who Bets on the Future"”Jesse Pollak is the kind of person who moves with quiet confidence, more focused on building than talking. Deep in the crypto world, he’s all about pushing the space forward with real products, not just ideas. You can tell he’s thinking long-term — making smart bets, staying ahead of trends, and actually doing the work to back it up. There’s no loud flex, just a steady grind fueled by belief in what’s coming next. A real builder who’s here for the future, not just the moment.jungpal.eth · 1310· 1y ago8

“Jacpot”Jesse is one of those rare people who can change your life with a single touch. I have witnessed it countless times—whether at X, Base, or Zora. His presence has the power to turn ordinary moments into unforgettable ones. Jesse’s impact is like hitting the jackpot—unexpected, yet capable of completely transforming your world. Being around him makes you feel stronger, braver, and filled with hope. Every moment spent with him feels like a rehearsal of small miracles; a simple smile, a word, or a glance can turn everything upside down. That is Jesse—the person who, once they touch your life, fills the missing pieces you didn’t even know were absent.Katelyn · 1248· 11mo ago5

“Building Base and Bridging Billions The Mission of @jessepollak”Scrolled into @jessepollak on X and its got that builder in the trenches vibe like someone sketchin the city map while already layin bricks. Bio points straight to Base at Coinbase with the mission of bringing billions onchain which reads less like a slogan and more like a personal quest. Feed mixes ecosystem updates with open invites like calling out big CT traders still not on Base and offering to onboard them one by one. Posts flag the friction points awareness gaps and bias but keep the tone like a friend showing you the ropes. Then there’s the shot at a 5m long on creator coin indexes to push direct funding for creators onchain which feels half experiment half rally cry. Style is measured and direct every line a nudge toward action without the hype blast. Behavor leans heavy on engagement with the community replying guiding and keeping convos human. Influnce is weighty in the L2 and builder circles where his posts spark movement more than memes. Worth a folow if you like CT that’s about actually building the road you are walking onGoldy · 1370· 1y ago11
