From 253 activities · Apr 2026Jesse Pollak is the founder and primary face of Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 built by Coinbase, credited with transforming it into one of the most active and accessible L2 ecosystems through relentless community engagement, daily promotion, and support for builders and creators. His consistent shipping, low fees, and developer-first vision have earned widespread respect, though his backing of creator coins, meme tokens, and projects like Soulja Boy's coin—some of which crashed dramatically or proved to be scams—has drawn significant criticism for recklessness and poor judgment despite apparent good intentions.

“Trailblazing Base Builder and Onchain Ecosystem Driver”I've been following jesse.base.eth since the very first Base tweets dropped, and honestly, no one embodies the 'builder-first' spirit more than him—whether it's pushing daily updates on new tools, hyping underrated artists and devs, or quietly making sure the Thai and SEA communities never get left behind in the English-heavy discourse. He’s the rare combo of being an actual core contributor (#001) while still replying to random no-name accounts at 3 AM, sharing step-by-step threads on how to deploy on Base, and constantly reminding everyone that the onchain economy only wins when regular people—not just VCs—can actually build and earn. Zero ego, zero gatekeeping, just relentless execution and genuine care for the ecosystem. Hands down one of the most trustworthy humans in this entire space.

FERRARI MONKEYZ ⚡️ · 1328· 11mo ago4“Jesse Pollak is a visionary builder—smart, humble, and deeply committed to shaping the future of Web3.”Jesse Pollak stands out as one of the most genuine and visionary builders in Web3. He blends technical depth with a human touch, making complex ideas feel clear and actionable. His leadership at Base shows what real innovation looks like — transparent, inclusive, and focused on long-term value rather than hype. What makes Jesse different is how he engages with the community: he listens, shares openly, and pushes others to think bigger. Whether he’s breaking down blockchain concepts or discussing the next phase of crypto adoption, his voice carries both insight and integrity. In a space full of noise, Jesse Pollak represents the kind of grounded optimism and technical excellence that keeps the crypto ecosystem moving forward.

“He's a good founder. But he needs to stop pretending as if Base is best product that has ever happened to this space.”
