Jesse Pollak is the founder and primary face of Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 built by Coinbase, credited with transforming it into one of the most active and accessible L2 ecosystems through relentless community engagement, daily promotion, and support for builders and creators. His consistent shipping, low fees, and developer-first vision have earned widespread respect, though his backing of creator coins, meme tokens, and projects like Soulja Boy's coin—some of which crashed dramatically or proved to be scams—has drawn significant criticism for recklessness and poor judgment despite apparent good intentions.

“Jesse Pollak — This Guy is Base”Most crypto founders talk. Jesse shows up. He went to the streets making videos, tweets daily, responds to real people, and actually supports builders and creators not just for clout, but consistently. That's what separates him. Base's growth didn't happen by accident. His vision, his grind, and his genuine community engagement built this thing from the ground up. Without him, Base simply isn't what it is today. Has he promoted some projects that didn't land well? Sure. But that's what happens when you're actually in the game, not just watching it. Jesse Pollak is the real deal. Base is proof.𝐑𝒂𝐣𝐮𝒊𝐜𝑒.𝒃𝒂𝐬𝑒.𝑒𝐭𝒉 · 1258· 5mo ago0

“Discovering Jesse through Base”I first came across Jesse while exploring apps on Base. His presence there made me curious, so I started following his updates and the projects he’s involved in. From what I’ve seen, Jesse is quite active in the ecosystem and consistently contributes to discussions and initiatives around Base. That gave me a good impression of his commitment and involvement. “Jesse The Face of BaseChain”Jesse has become the unmistakable public voice of BaseChain, and his relentless promotion has been a driving force behind the platform’s rise. He hasn’t contented himself with merely posting online he’s taken to the streets filming on‑location videos that bring crypto and Base into everyday conversation. His daily‑frequency tweets keep the community informed, spotlighting new builders, sharing fresh content, and amplifying the work of other creators What truly sets Jesse apart is his genuine engagement. When he spots a thoughtful comment, he replies promptly, offering encouragement or answering questions directly. This isn’t the “all‑talk, no‑show” persona that many influencers adopt Jesse backs up his words with consistent, visible effort. His hands‑on approach has turned him into more than a promoter he is BaseChain for many users In short Jesse’s street‑level outreach, constant social‑media presence, supportive interaction with creators, and authentic responsiveness make him the living embodiment of BaseChain’s missionM A J I D · 1254· 6mo ago0
“face of Base blockchain”I know Jesse from the Base ecosystem. He has been building on Base for a while and has been actively growing the Base ecosystem. It's great to see his energy and posts about partner projects who are building on Base. However, I suggest he be more careful about which projects he posts about on his X timeline. I know of one project I took part in because he backed it up, and they rugged. So I request him to be more careful and cautious before supporting a project on Base.Brau 🧸 · 1265· 6mo ago · neutral0
“Jesse is the benchmark for founder”Its difficult to not admire what Jesse has accomplished. in the past year, a lot of people made USDC on Base just from using some very easy features, proof that real, user focused building. He's always tring to bring Base up to the most robust L2 out of them all on ETH. That kind of dedication volumes. Absolutely deserves thumbs upMarco.eth 🐏 · 1252· 6mo ago0

“Meet Jesse Pollak”The absolute big boss and mastermind behind the Base chain, running the show single-handedly Before nurturing his beloved network, this guy was the top dog leading the entire consumer engineering team at Coinbase. He basically built the whole squad: the standard Coinbase app, the hardcore Pro version, right down to the Wallet. Throwing it back to his early hustle days, bro actually founded a startup called Clef and even flexed his engineering skills at BuzzFeed! When he’s off the clock, if he isn't busy blessing the world with free open-source code, you'll find him casually slinging a camera for some chill photography. Wanna be besties? Go stalk him on Twitter, Github, or LinkedIn. Or better yet, if you feel like throwing money at him, just drop some ETH into his jesse.xyz wallet he’ll gladly take it!joesofth3art.base.eth · 1242· 7mo ago0
“The boss of the defi”“a true pillar of the ecosystem” He’s been putting in the work day after day, consistently showing up and pushing the space forward. Not just talking — actually building, engaging, and supporting others. You’ll see him everywhere: amplifying good content, backing builders, and bringing real attention to the ecosystem. His presence isn’t forced, it’s earned. What stands out the most is his authenticity. He doesn’t chase attention — attention comes to him because of the value he brings. He listens, he interacts, and he gives back to the community in a way that feels natural and genuine. This isn’t someone riding the wave. This is someone helping create it.glimz.eth · 1237· 7mo ago0
